Good news for you chickpee,:TYAY YAY YAY - Happy day today!!!
No I haven't received my cheque but I just rang the FSCS and it's on the way. I can't tell you how relieved I am to know we have a valid claim as I've thought the worst for a while now.
Thanks to all of you for your support which has helped me through this stressful time - You have helped more than you will ever know.

would have thought it would have been here by now having to wait another day now is worse bag of nerves as it isMoggy I was told I would hear at the end of last week and today I was told the cheque was going out today and dated the 7th.
Is it worth ringing them again to confirm exactly when it was sent? If it was sent out when they said then I am sure it is just Christmas post holding it up. I know that doesn't help but I am sure you will receive it this week.
Edited to add I've just read your last post so see you have already rung them. I am sure it will be with you soon Moggy.0 -

Morning to all. Here comes the swerveball!!!! Just spoken to Chatwins. They DO NOT have the cheque, are calling fscs to chase, but have now announced that I have to pay 30% of claim as it has gone through fscs because of default they can't claim from Picture. Stung again. In respect of NCB I have not received anything back yet from Picture (3 yrs up in March) so 0.00 on no claim rebate, however was deducted £966.39 for rebate upon cancellation reading "this is the value of your policy if you decide to cancel it".Morning all. Excellent, another success and welcome and congratulations to Lynnie123. Brilliant.
Not happy though about the reclaim company, and just hope it all works out, if not you are in good hands here, esp with the likes of Busby, Marshallka & Di (to name a few) who Im sure can just about assist with any kind of potential swerveball that your reclaim company may throw at you.
One further question Lynnee (if I may) what does your breakdown letter state in respect of NCB ?
Good luck.0 -
Have you started a claim with Egg?
We've had a claim with the FOS for months now. An adjudicator rang a while ago to ask what benefits my husband had for work and I got the impression that they were trying to come to a decision with regards to the online tick box. He indicated that there were loads of complaints with regards to this and that we might not hear for some time.
The Picture one was the most imprtant win for us so for now I'm happy xx0 -
Hi all,
Wonder if anyone can help with this one. Obviously got news of big win yesterday, wind taken out of sails by Chatwins now. The thing i am enquiring about is NCD. My first pay out is due in March. From reading previous threads, would I be right in thinking that policy is still in force, and I wll still be paid out on this unless I choose to cancel!0 -
Hi Lynnie123, sorry to hear of your news from Chatwins:mad:. Did it actually say in any paperwork that YOU signed that they would be allowed to take 30%???Morning to all.
