First of all congratulations on your win.....:beer:

As regards your 8K that they say you received when refinancing then this was maybe rebated from the balance that was carried over to your new loan. You often cannot see this but its a rebate of the interest and PPI that would have been due by you if you had not refinanced. The way you can work this out is to ask for a breakdown of the settlement of the old loan and see what was charged to you. You would have had a rebate against the loan interest and one against the PPI interest too. In other words you would not have paid the PPI amount in full (although they most probably would not have put this in the settlement statement as a "refund/rebate") that was due.

It sounds like sandzb topped up with Picture as I did, what they do is just send you an amount they want to pay themselves back without a breakdown of how much they rebate on the PPI amount as the original PPI is cancelled and then they add a new more expensive PPI to the top up amount.

Pink they did cancel the first PPI and yes the second was more expensive! But the top up was only a few month after the initial loan. on looking at the paperwork everything seems to tally bar the 8K I was supposed to have received:mad:. Im glad I didnt get through to picture today!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

So sorry for you Sanzb, you shouldn't be having to go through further stress, its been stressful enough just for the waiting on this......:mad:.
