Shopping trip was great except:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Oh no!
I was meant to be doing my chrissy shopping & only got 2 pressies but managed to come back with about 10 bags!
I look cute in my new gear though & hadn't treated myself since my PPi win so perhaps I deserved it. Even got a new haircut:rotfl:0 -

Now, here we go again. With regard to barloo's NCB dispute.
Honey confirmed last night that she did rcd her NCB before her settlement. On a past post she said the FSCS were aware of this as she sent all the paperwork regarding the NCB refund to them and this was also returned back to her with the rest of her paperwork on completion of her claim.
I received these payments from Picture the FSCS know I had received these payments as I sent them the letters from Picture - they returned these with my cheque on Friday
This is the way I now see it. Rather than FSCS deduct her NCB from her settlement they chose to deduct any premium rebate she would be entitled to if she decided to cancel, but leaving the choice with her. It's as though, as I have said before, FSCS make a decision to deduct either NCB or Premium rebate , but on what grounds. By deducting the premium rebate, you don't lose at all, as you still have the NCB, plus either the premium rebate if you decide to cancel or continuity of the Insurance if you choose to keep it active!!
Now this begs the question with the explanation they have given barloo. Their methodology is not consistent, and obviously there are cases on here that need to be addressed. Imagine how many this could affect that we are unaware of.
Also I have copied previous post from old-Wulf and lian1969 which state any NCB paid after settlement, does not have to be paid back to the FSC., just for future reference.OLD-Wulf
I rang Picture this morning and they told me that there is no penalty for making lump sum payments against the loan and they would also credit the insurance cancellation premium direct to the loan balance. They were very keen to get me to cancel the policy and said that any future no claim bonus payments would have to go back to FSCS! I checked with FSCS and no they dont.
QUOTE=Lian1969;26244045]Hi all
Just for information.
I called picture today regarding cancelling my ins with them! I asked about the rebate that the FSCS had said that we are entitled to £741.
Picture encouraged me to cancel policy ( wonder why):mad:
They said that the £741 would be paid back to the loan:mad: But we are due a NCB next August they told me that the FSCS would want this back:mad:
God picture are real comedians you know! I called the FSCS and they said that it was rubbish, we are allowed to keep the NCB which works out at £5000.
Also picture tried me to pay all of our compensation back.:mad:
At the end of the day we have to do what is right for me and my family! i wont be forced into doing anything.
WHEN YOU ALL GET YOUR CHEQUES AND ARE DUE A NCB YOU ARE STILL ENTITLED TO IT:j
Just thought i would let you all know!

Also better news from honey that her friend's appeal has been successful. Well after what we read with all the info she rcd when taking out the loan, including the actual transcript of the call ( I honestly didn't think she had a leg to stand on) can only mean it will be SUCCESS for us all.:beer:
Sorry, but I am like a dog with a bone when it comes to something like this,(even though this does not apply to my claim) and hope I am not boring you all to death!!dialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -
