I've had that letter too honestbob. I think it means that because we have made a claim to the FSCS we technically remain a creditor of Picture even though there is no prospect of Picture making a payment to us because they are in default.

We are invited to a Liquidators meeting but they will not be able to provide any info about the FSCS process at that meeting.

A proxy form is attached which needs to be lodged with the liquidator to entitle you to vote at the meeting. As it's not particularly relevant to our claim we are just ignoring it.

    I hope this helps.
  • Ahh Thanks Chickpee i was a bit spooked by it suppose its just part of the paper trail, will use it as an excuse to ring up again for status etc.

    Great excuse!!

I hope you hear some positive news soon.
  • Hi fellow sufferers
First post on this one although I've been following the comings and goings for a while now. I'm also playing the waiting game. Case was referred back from Deloittes on 09/10/09 and have been chasing updates ever since. Reading this, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that I've been sent back to Deloittes. If so, and they say it's for recalculation, I won't be overly upset as at least it'll mean I'm getting something back. Patience is wearing a tad thin though. Thanks for your posts.
  • Cant get through just yet (someones having a long lunch !) just occured to me Chick could this letter indicate that my claim has gone back from deloitte to fscs ? When did u get your letter and where are they up to with your case ?

Got the letter this morning but I doubt it has anything to do with where your case is with either Deloitte or the FSCS. I think they were obliged to send this letter to anyone whose claim is yet to be sorted.

We spoke to Deloitte on Monday and they had sent our file back to the FSCS that morning so hopefully not too long to wait now.

    Fingers crossed for you too!!

    HI bob
Don't worry, we have rcd this today. I was a bit concerned art first. Think they just have to advise and give us the option of attending liquidators meeting. The form to fill in is if you wish to attend by "proxy"
Just going through it again, but think it is just a formality, nothing that will affect our claim
