well what a surprise but a cheque sitting on my floor when i returned today !!

btw,, well done to everyone who's had some joy recently..

as far as claims numbers go i sure i was very late entry ( early aug '09) and number into the 1000. No email, no phone calls just a letter the other week asking for some more info..

Now the annoying thing.., as i still have the loan, i have recieved ncd for year 3 & 4 do far which has been deducted from my claim( ty for the template letter, will dispatch asap) but what about the last year ? seems strange that they will allow that but not the years before..

    pah.. :-)

Copy of the letter for FSCS. You can amend it to suit your own case.

    Financial Services Compensation Scheme

    Dear Sirs

    Re- Claim ref: PICF********

I am in receipt of a cheque for compensation against Picture Financial Services PLC.

I would be most grateful if you would explain the area of concern, which is the No Claims Bonus you have deducted from my payment.

The breakdown of my payment from you is as follows:

    Put your breakdown in here

I received the No Claims Bonus of £**** in ********09, and received compensation from you after this was paid to me. Can you please explain to me why the NCB has been deducted from the payment?

Had my NCB not been due until November, for example, after my compensation was paid from you, I would still have received this from the Insurers, and obviously it would not have been deducted from my claim.

I feel I have been penalised by you because of the date my NCB was due.

I have not cancelled the Insurance as yet, as it appears I would have little to gain from Picture/Target if I did. Therefore if all other parts of the policy apply – i.e. Claims for redundancy etc, why would you take off my NCB. It makes sense it all applies.

The reason I was entitled to the NCB is because my account had never been in arrears, and yet you have taken it off me!!

Also, as I would still be entiltled to my 4/5th NCB if my account does not go into arrears, why then would I not be entitled to the 3rd year that you have deducted from me.

You can add your own amounts of your loan etc and that you have not been put back in the position you would have been without the PPI etc

Or take it out, whatever suits your own case
Thanks for this busbyh. I will send off a copy tomorrow.

Congrats Demir on your win - but sorry to hear about your other problems - take care of yourself - the new baby is more important than anything else so don't get yourself stressed about the ex - if the cheque is in your name ignore him & if he takes you to court you can offset it towards what he should have given for your wee one & wee one to be
Just concentrate on the babies now & forget about the rest - Take care

    Hi barloo
I feel the NCB is something that needs to be addressed, even if nothing comes of it, I feel it has to be put to FSCS to answer.
Did you write to the FSCS about this.

Sorry, for delay Busby, Ive been concentrating my efforts on another forum today with an Insurance complaint the FOS have just thrown out , but hey thats another story !!!!

Yes, I sent the letter off to FSCS today RD. We will have to see whther or not it bears any fruit?
Thanks BTW for all your help.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D
