Funny story actually... I live with my ex (have done for the last 2 years since we split... ppi meant we couldn't sell our house!!) and I have take control of the complaint with picture. I have done all of the emailing, phone calling etc... I finally had enough... too many time have I heard things like "at the fscs we aim to complete all cases withing 6 months of deafault..." etc... so I asked my ex to turn on her charm...

...she got the good news on her first call!!!

So in answer to your question we had to do the pestering. (which seems to be the way with this situation...)

When we sent out complaint in to Picture it was sent back to us return of post and we were advised to forward it to FSCS.That that was in Aug 08.Which we did and then received a claim form a week or two later.

We then requested a settlement figure from Picture and received it. We were trying for a while to sort out a remortgage and in the meantime Target sent out, what I think was a standard letter saying if you settled the loan by a certain date they would waive the settlement interest. We did manage to sort out the remortage and they did waive the settlement interest.

Even though your claim was a lot later than ours I really don't think this will make much difference as we were told by deloitte that nothing could have happened prior to them being declared in default and basically the files would be just sat in a desk until this happened.

Hopefully we will all be sorted by the end of their 6 month timescale:D:D

It seems if there were remorgages involved, because like you we remortgaged as well, there is a lot more for them to deal with, but I'm sure they will get there very soon, not too long now.:beer:
