so in effect you will pay the ppi back as usual on the loan for the remaining term and your monthly payment stays the same, so in effect with interest you will pay more back than the actual ppi refund you get? if that is the case i would sooner pay it back off the loan and have a reduced monthly payment than pay perhaps double back over the term of the loan.. or is the ppi refund taken off the loan and the loan back to original payment, god this is so confusing
Hi amersall, I agree with what you say about paying it back off the loan, but it all depends on the individuals personal circumstances.
You will ultimately pay a lot more back if you didn't pay it off the loan, which makes a lot of sense, to pay it off, but some people just need to look at their monthly outgoing in the short term and make things a little easier for themselves, rather than in the long term.
But I do agree with what you say if you are in a position to pay it off would be great, and bring down the monthly payments, or there is also the option of paing it off your loan, keeping the repayments the same which results in reducing the term of the loan.
When we enquired about making a partial repayment, before we started this claim process, these were the options we were given. which would be even better, if you could afford to keep the repayments as they aredialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -
Thats how I understand it busbyh from what the fscs told me:TI'm sure honey 2 was told they would send her a cheque. FSCS have instructed the Insurers as to the amount they have to pay back if the Insurance is cancelled.
think this is correct, but I am sure Honey 2 will be on later and will confirm:j:j0 -

pinknico you do worry too much:p:p be positive "when i get my cheque" not "hope i win " all front loaded ppi is a rip off i have every faith you will get yours fingers crossed xxxYou are making perfect sense busbyh,I hope I win my claim and then can pay a bit off Picture and the rest off credit cards otherwise we will be stuck with these for a lot longer than our picture loan. We are able to afford our repayments on our loan though. But this would mean picture would be our only debt ( too scary to think about in case they reject our claim!)0 -
