  • Does anyone know if we cancel the ppi would the insurance company send us a cheque for the rebate or would it be deducted off our monthly repayments at a small amount each month!

    I think it means this.

If dialysis was request to settle the loan today for instance then her settlement figure would include a rebate of the insurance of the £1373 so she would settle at £1373 less. This would mean if she cancelled the insurance of today. If however she left the insurance in tact she could use it if needs be and also would still owe it all for the term of the loan. They are just taking into account if anyone does pay their redress over to them today.
so in effect you will pay the ppi back as usual on the loan for the remaining term and your monthly payment stays the same, so in effect with interest you will pay more back than the actual ppi refund you get? if that is the case i would sooner pay it back off the loan and have a reduced monthly payment than pay perhaps double back over the term of the loan.. or is the ppi refund taken off the loan and the loan back to original payment, god this is so confusing

I'm sure honey 2 was told they would send her a cheque. FSCS have instructed the Insurers as to the amount they have to pay back if the Insurance is cancelled.

think this is correct, but I am sure Honey 2 will be on later and will confirm:j:j
