I know in effect it is still on her loan but, that's the choice we have to make, pay it back or pay other debts off,depending on personal circumstances.

Even though ours is paid off with Picture, we still has to borrow amount(inc PPI amount) from new lender, so in effect we are still paying interest on it, albiet a lot less than with Picture!!!!

But it would be more beneficial in our case to pay off the credit card, as there is certainly no light at the end of the tunnel for this one, even though you can transfer balances on credit cards, they still charge an up front % rate. Also how long with it go on where we can transfer balances - it could stop anytime.

Hi Busbyh yes I do have arrears so cannot claim NCB I will still have it on the laon but my circumstances it will be more benficial to clear arrears adn pay other debts off we have incurred because of the PPI not paying out. I have banked the cheque but you wouldnt beleive I had to have permission from the senior manager to put it in because it was a large amount, then of course it was what are we going to do with it so we have an appt with a fiancial adviser so we can get the best interest out of it. It looked real good though at the cash machine all those figures:T:T:T

You are making perfect sense busbyh,I hope I win my claim and then can pay a bit off Picture and the rest off credit cards otherwise we will be stuck with these for a lot longer than our picture loan. We are able to afford our repayments on our loan though. But this would mean picture would be our only debt ( too scary to think about in case they reject our claim!)
