Have they said how long then cause i remember you said about a roof etc some time ago? Is that the same one that needed the roof on or the one that he had the interview for? I am getting confused now? All that matters is he has a job now so a wage coming in at last. That is a huge relief i bet.

Its a huge place, they are renewing the whole lot of the roofs, where hubby worked before the section of where the furnaces are based, this one is due for completion, but they will not reopen now until its checked by health and safety, so they can start everyone off at the same time.

The other is another place a bit further away, they are expanding and building a new section, hubby did ring for an update the other week and was told that its not completed yet, but they will ring to let him know.

So whatever comes up first really.;)

    Delays hit some PPI paybacks

Borrowers wrongly sold extortionate payment protection insurance policies by niche loans firms are facing huge delays when they claim for compensation. pixel.gif

New rules should finally end the loan insurance rip-off. And not before time.
    - PPI victory

Most lenders sold PPI, which is supposed to pay up if borrowers lose their income through redundancy or illness, and many are now paying back thousands of pounds to people who claim the plans were inappropriate.

But some lenders - especially smaller firms specialising in riskier borrowers - have gone bust or dissolved themselves, effectively eluding the liability for any PPI mis-selling.
In these cases claimants must appeal for refunds of premiums to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the organisation that pays out when finance firms fail.
This process can take years, warns Daniella Lipszyc of Ultimate Law in Manchester.
She cites the example of Picture, a specialist lender whose PPI premiums often equated to 50 per cent of the loan - £5,000 in the case of a £10,000 loan. Picture went bust last year. 'Consumers have no redress against the company for the sale of the PPI unless they go to the FSCS which is a lengthy process that can take up to a year,' Lipszyc says

Me too - our mail has been back to normal for the last few days! I am still totally confused with what that woman from the FSCS told me the other day - I have felt like phoning back but I can't stand the way they just can't give an honest answer. xx

I know honey but I was told yesterday that we will get the letter and the cheque together. I too am struggling with all these anagrams and cryptics. Although I did get some straight answers yesterday from deloitte and the fscs, hoping it is right what they told me.:TI would be very tempted to phone back and see if you get someone else go on do it:T:T
