When I called the FSCS today I said to the lady that although I have received an e-mail advising I will receive a letter in 2 weeks or sooner from the FSCS - due to the redundancy that will be happening this month what should I do, as Picture have told me to obtain a claim form from the insurance company. She then told me that I would be sent on Friday of this week everything I need. Once I received the letter from the FSCS if I wished to contact Picture Insurance and made a claim for redundancy then I could do so.

does this make sense? right -before you can claim redundancy on insurance you have to be out of work for a period of time, if your husband is just being made redundant now, then i would think this form is being sent to you in readiness for when you can claim. am i right in thinking that with picture, you will be paid out mis sell but the ins wont be cancelled? if i am right and i am sure that i read that on this thread previously- then you may get the cheque from fscs and when the time is right you can make a claim on the ins?if you can then the ins will pay your loan for a time. i hope i am right with this, if i am not then i am sure someone will put me right
  • Pinknico, this is what my e-mail said

We contacted you some time ago in respect of our claim regarding the mis sold PPI insurance. We informed you of our current financial circumstances which remain unchanged. You agreed to treat our claim as priority and we have recently been informed that Deloittes have currently received all relevant information and passed the claim back to the FSCS to be processed. This took place on Friday 25th September.

As you are aware we have been waiting for nearly 2 years for this issue to be dealt with and it is encouraging to know that the end is in sight. I would be most grateful if you would now be in a position to give us a rough time scale when we will be hearing something from you regarding our claim.

Our current financial circumstances are pretty poor at present which is begining to have an impact on our home, so any positive feedback would be very much appreciated.

    Many thanks

Sorry to act a bit thick but is there any reason why that should make a difference to her claim:confused:

Not thick beaniebabe we are as confused as you! One minute shes told a cheque is coming, now a letter will be sent Friday but they wont say what is in letter:confused:

No dont apologise, I am arghhh at them messing you about!

When I said the policy is cancelled. If the fscs say we have successful claims then Picture cancel the insurance. Even if you dont pay anything off it, as we would have received the money.
