So why should u have a right to make my life difficult?? As my nephew is a bad asthmatic, being near smoke can set him off in an attack - so hes forced to stay away from smokers WHICH IS F*CKING EVERYWHERE
Your making my nephews life harder...yet u moan about ur own free will and right to do what u like? what happened to non-smokers being able to do what THEY like?? clearly you are only thinking of urself, classic selfish behaviour from a smoker.
I bet when u get lung cancer, u will be wanting all the sympathy - poor me blah blah people get cancer everyday from no fault of there own, sometimes its caused by other peoples smoke - now thats unfair!Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!0 -

Not exactly freewill if we cant go anywhere without being forced to smoke is it? we have no rights to force a smoker to not polute our lungs. Someone can walk right upto you and blow smoke into your face, and you have NO RIGHTS.
free world for the addicted, yeah that seems fair love LOL
have consideration, and smoke in your own home, in smoking shelters and away from people choosing a healthy lifestyle - then there is no issue here.
Consideration should be the worlds only rule
but no one comes up and blows fag smoke direct in your faces so whats the problem? if someone did come up and blow a puff in your face then yes thats wrong, even i wouldnt like that. but someone minding their own business you can walk away from.
you go on as if we all spot the non-smokers and rush up and puff away in your little bit of personal space as if we enjoy it.
i dont invade anyones personal space and appreciate that others dont invade mine.
you name a smoker who comes up and blows smoke in your face. give me a time or a reason when they purposefully came right up to you and blew smoke in your face.
you have the choice to walk past or walk around. or are your legs incapable? There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Majorly flawed arguement for obvious reasons.
I'm sure you do, but that's probably because you blatantly arn't able to formulate rational arguments. Would you like me more if I just resorted to pointless insults?
I won't. This is what internet forums are for
Nah, I've never believed in that.
What I'd like is for the "last word" to be some sort of conclusion to the opening statement. That would be my ideal. We're going to disagree. That's fine. But let's find some semblence of adult-like accord.
but WE DISAGREE WITH YOU and still you go o0n and on so your statement there hold no water. you are like a stuck record and for every stuck record there will be a meThere's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -

I am wheelchair bound
Which ofcourse means, I cant offroad it to negociate round a group of smokers on a path, nor can I take certain routes because of unstable ground.
I find it hard enough negociating round normal town/city streets and cant just cross the road at anytime, because I need a ramp.
So !!!!!!.Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!0 -

and why should you have the right to make a smokers life difficult?
see it from the other prospective.
i for one dont smoke in other peoples houses, not even my own. i have consideration for others but this is not enough in your agenda.
see it from our point of view.
yes there are selfish smokers out there as there are selfish people who queue jump, swear infront of children, take the !!!! out of the disabled etc., all of which i hate.
you cannot change all of the people all of the time to suit YOUR needs.
yes i would love a country where taking the !!!! out of the disabled was banned [for example] but its never gonna happen.
live with it. by all means have a whinge but dont come holier than though and want to sue us for something far trivial that the general !!!! that goes on in this world. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -

and of course i was meant to know that without asking. so dont play that card on me. i am disabled myself. do you think id get a kick out of taking the !!!! out of you?
legs or wheels you can make your way around the smokers. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
dandare, are you marleyboy? No offence (if you arn't), but you've got the same reply/quote style. Sorry.
momoyama wrote:"Smoking harms you and others around you". So, someone smoking near me is harming me. That's FACT. So I believe that that person should be arrested and charged with the appropriate crime.dandare wrote:there is no crime to charge so not illegal. just your personal wish.
But I'm suggesting that it is illegal. I can't actually see how it isn't. I can see that prosecution may not be deemed "in the public interest", though I'd argue that one, too.
momoyama wrote:I have friends far more extreme than I who who actually do believe that smokers should all be shot.dandare wrote:that's because they are probably ar**holes
dandare wrote:get some new friends. reasonable people.
dandare wrote:the main logic here is that you want things your way irrespective of what others want.
dandare wrote:by the way what makes children and vulnerable adults more important than anyone else?
momoyama wrote:It's not too much to ask, surely?
dandare wrote:yep too much
Then that's a shame. A very selfish shame.0 -

as for your nephews asthma, which im sorry to hear about, it can also be triggered by many other factors in the atmosphere. just ask the asthmatics in my family [note, not my children or partner]. but these things cannot be helped can they. or can you phone and ask heathrow to change the flight plan over ones house because of air pollutants? must try that myself.
uve had terrible hayfeever this year. did i ask the council to cut down ever tree and flowering bush because of this? no. i just put up, shut up and took precautions. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -

YOU are the one choosing to smoke. YOU are the one making your life difficult by choosing to do so, not me. Im not forcing YOU to smoke.
And as for taking the !!!! out of disabled.....er dont just assume everyone can walk around running away from smokers, some people do have birth defects and disabilities you know, and yes they can use computers and type.
And why should us non-smoker run away from anyone smoking in order to look after our health??? its not us causing the pollution, so why are we to be inconvenienced?Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!0
