Met Oct 1995, got together Nov 1997, got engaged Feb 1998, married June 1999. Still happily married 10 years on.

Quickest couple we know is going out to wed in 4 months. Still very happy 6 years on.

Got together October 2nd 2007... talked about moving in togethr about a week or so after, talked about future, wedding and children about a week after that.

Started saving to move out November 2007-hoped to move out June 2008 but then my parents offered us the house I grew up in to rent (they had bought a new house to do up and move into and as soon as that was done out family home would have been on the open market to rent)

Had to wait until Jan 2009 for OH to move in once parents had moved (building work took longer than expected)

OH had already proposed Dec 1st 2008 and we will have the wedding on our 3rd anniversary 2/10/2010

it was fast, and unfortunately the man i dated, the man i married and the man i seperated from are 3 different people, but the lessons i learnt are invaluable and each decision i made was 100% right at the time and despite the pain i have no regrets

Happy to say all is going swimmingly and although im very commited to him and vice versa we have discussed living together - in 2011 (due to my work commitments) unless we win the lottery in the mean time

oh, and we have said babies in the next 3 - 5 years (because of our ages) so im guessing marriage sometime before that lol

Me and my OH have been together nearly 8 years and we are not engaged. Over the years we have said we don't want to get married as we are happy the way we are, partly to shut the family up to be honest!

The past few months i have changed my mind on the issue, and now my OH is working away in another country i'm thinking of asking him.

Never thought i would be saying that but having been apart for the last few weeks has made me realise how much i love him and want to be with him. Don't get me wrong i knew that anyway but as the saying goes ' you don't know what you have got until its gone'!!

I wonder what he will say to 'miss, i don't want to get married ever' when she proposes!! If it happens it will be a long engagement, rushing the marriage wouldn't suit us..
