It goes kind of like a gooey sticky suet pud. I mix 4 tbsp veg oil and 100ml milk into 200g self raising flour and 175g sugar. I spoon some marmalade (or jam, or you could use syrup I guess) into a greased dish. Pour in the batter. Cover and microwave for 3 minutes (I have a 850 MW oven.) Hope you like it :)

    Sounds really good, thank you!

I've not seen specific meal plans, but this is what we have:

M-F breakfasts are cereal - Xtra Value Porridge, weetabix or cornflakes with toast for me.

S&S breakfasts are eggs, homemade scotch pancakes, perhaps some bacon if I've got any in.

Lunches are homemade soup, sandwiches with ham, cheese whatever's left - or leftovers from the night before.

Dinners are along the line of Roast chicken for Sunday dinner - chicken curry and rice with the bones used for the soup. Spaghetti bolognese (with or without mince, depending on how much cash I have!!) bulked out with lentils and made into a chilli later in the week. Home made pizza (get kids to make topping as they love this!)

You get the idea - if I have spare then i use it for baking things so I can make snacks.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Monday - Roast chicken, roast potatoes, roat parsnips and green beans
Tuesday - Belly Pork, baked potatoed, mangetout and remainder of green beans
Wednesday - something easy of take away as OH is working late
Thursday - Pasta with smoked sausage, onions and tomatoes. It was meant to be bolognese but the supermarket didn't have any mince in
Friday - homemade rhubarb crumble (debut attempt with no help from my mum)
    Saturday -
    Sunday -

I went shopping on my way home from work as OH will be a bit late in tonight. Also being organised and getting shopping for tomorrow and probably the weekend myself, OH is dropping me off on his way to the hospital and will hopefully remember to pick me up on the way back

Mmm ... smokey sausage pasta ... haven't had that for a while. Shame I've just done my meal plan for the next couple of weeks - might see if I can slot that in somewhere ...
Back after a very long break!
