It's when they start asking 5 mins after breakfast that it gets to me!
I've long since given up posting my meal plan in the kitchen because then if I change my mind about something I have to explain why we're not having x and why we're having y instead:rolleyes:0 -
Hi all, bit behind as I tend to plan more or less payday to payday, month at a time.... but here's what I have so far... and I'll be stealing ideas too for filling in the gaps

sun: toady hole and veg
mon: chicken breast with pesto wrapped in bacon and veg
tue: some fish of some sort (depends what's on offer or what inspires me)
wed: chilli wraps
thur: ?
fri: toulouse sausage butterbean casserole http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3949/toulouse-sausage-and-butter-bean-casserole

My mum often used to answer "what's for tea" with "food"Soon stopped us asking.
I don't let OH know my meal plan either, unless we have something planned for a certain day. He only really asks me what's for tea when we get home from work, and isn't really bothered about any other meal apart from the one he'll eat next.
I do tend to stick to my plan though, unless I can't be bothered prepping stuff for the slow cooker and then I swap meals aroundworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

To add my 2 pennies... I like the thread starting on a Thursday or Friday. I usually make out my menu's on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, prior, sat in front of the telly :rotfl: That way I know what I need to shop for later in the week for the following week. I always start my "week" on a Sunday to make use of the leftovers if we're having a roast.
If your menu isn't ready until Monday or Tuesday, just post then - the thread's here all week
Now to business:
SUN- Grilled Sausage / Mashed Potatoes / Onion Gravy / Veg
MON- Creamy Mushroom Turkey over Rice / Veg
TUE- Baked Sticky BBQ Chicken / Garden Salad / Roll
WED- Either out, TA or in BH's hands ;-)
THU- Leftover BBQ Chicken / Veg / Roll
FRI- Macaroni Cheese w-Bacon / Garden Salad / Roll
SAT- Fish~n~Chips0 -

Are you saying you plan a months menus in advance or am I just thick. No, don't asnwer that :rotfl:
Was just wondering as I'd been mulling over the idea of trying to do a months plan at a time, with some allowances of course.0 -
Late last year I got in the habit of doing a months plan and I found it really helpful and frugal. Can't think why I stopped? Everything seems to go to pot at the end of the year.

Hi
I've got back into monthly meal planning and just been to ASDA and spent £58 for the month as all of the other stuff I've already got in.
I sit down with the DS1&2 and list the meals I can make with what I've already got in and then decide what other meals off a list of about 40 they want to include as well.
So here is this week's
Sun - Roast Chicken Dinner
Mon - Chilli Beef Nachos
Tue - Turkey Steak, jacket potato and salad (HG)
Wed - Cheese and bacon pasta bake
Thu - Tarkha Dhal with pitta bread and onion bhajis (sp?)
Fri - HM fishcakes, wedges and tartare sauce
Sat - Chickpea tagine and couscous
Lunches for me for work will be remnants from the roast, boiled ham I've got in he SC now, pasta bake left overs etc.
Have a good week everyone xAnywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0
