Sorry to hear the bad news. I lost one of my, albeit much older cats, earlier in the year.

I still shed a tear now.

So sorry for your loss, I know how it feels - I lost one of my babies from poisoning 3 weeks ago, another end of last year, again poisoned, both from the same litter, the third is extra clingy now, and I wouldn't change her for the world. Cats are very loving, and I can't believe I used to be so scared of them!

Cats have thier own personalities, some love being house cats all thier lives, some have to roam. As most of ours are rescued ferral cats, as much as it hurts letting them out, its cruel to keep them from doing what comes naturally, I still sit sometimes in the garden, talking to the graves of my babies, we've 3 here who have moved onwards, Trouble who was hit by a car, and Missy and Middy, who both were poisoned, and the comforting thing is, its not just us that miss them, they left pawprints on many of our neighbour's hearts, which was lovely to hear about.

But big **hugs** to you, Ziggy will always be with you in your heart

ohh hun, your memories made me shed a tear, just think off all the very very happy thoughts you have of Ziggy, Anyone who doesnt have a pet cant even begin to imagine, whats its like no other Cat will ever match up to your Ziggy they are all different and totally unique in there own ways just like humans
in time youll get another friend the only words of comfort i can offer is there will be another bright star in the sky night ?!!

I always pass this poem to people who have lost pets, it brings me an enormous amount of comfort when thinking about my cat Misty and my hamster who I lost quite a few years ago.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
