  • Sorry to hear about poor Ziggy it's heartbreaking to lose a much loved pet.

Sounds like Ziggy was a very happy content cat and couldn't have given him a better home.

    Somerset you've made me cry.

Such a beautiful story, the telling of his life with you.

I lost Ted suddenly in October 08 (kind of cat heart attack).

There are some "special" cats out there, looks like you & I have been lucky enough to meet one.

How awful for you and he was so young, I really feel for you

I love my cat, lost my 13 years old boy last Summer, I still miss him terribly, no pet can ever be a replacement. They do give a lot of love do cats.

I got another cat now he is nearly 3 I think from RSPCA he is a tabby full of character and loves being out all day/night but he is such a baby when you cuddle him.

I am so sorry for your loss, I am thinking of you.

Poor you and poor Ziggy. At least with road accidents I think they die very quickly if not instantly. I spotted a little tortie dead on the verge when I was driving up a country lane (aka a rat-run :( ) on my way to work yesterday. It is every cat-owners worse nightmare.

Really feel for you. It's surprising how much of an impact they can make on you. ((hugs)) We were gutted when we lost Tigger (just over 2 years ago). He'd had 4 homes in the 1st 2 years of his llife bless him, we were determined to give him a 'home', but unfortunately his time with us was not nearly as long as we had hoped :-( . Saw a beautiful sign shortly afterwards, ' Cats leave paw prints on our hearts', & thought '- how true, Tigger certainly did on ours, & sounds like Ziggy did on yours. It now marks where T is at the bottom of our garden under a palm. Often 'remember' him fondly even now. We now have 2 girls with completely different characters, but they're just as loving. We weren't keen on the idea of any more at first, (the possible heart-break) but I'm glad we have cat affection in our home again now. ((hugs))

So sorry for you and your cat. We lost our baby on the roads just over a year ago and it still hurts. We let her out and 5 mins later the door bell rang 'do you own a black cat - I am so sorry'. She was only a baby too just over 1 year old.

I still feel bad keeping our current cats locked up in the house but I cannot bear the thought of losing another one!
  • Gracie, Our girls are inside too, & I feel the same about them not going out, you're not alone on that.
