Thats good! Makes me think - once I've moved and done a little bit of settling in, I really need to drop quite so much diary, and maybe just follow others, and join in the chat - the chat is what I like, after all.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Loving the 10 min things- now i have 10mins to get my arris moving instead of lurking on here..lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Lol Bob.
Karma - I hope you will keep up your diary! But I have to admit that the chat (on the actual chat thread, and on the diaries) keeps me sane (well, close enough) some days!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I've been wondering about my diary recently. I mean, I *need* it at the moment, I really do. But I'm debt free. And there's something about defining who we are by what we pay attention to, you know? I'm thinking of the blogs and websites you and Cheery have shown me
I definitely need to have a "home" on the web, I just don't know where that will be, long term. Whaddaya think?

I definitely think you should keep your diary on here (look how many people read it!), but maybe that will become more of a briefer update/ keeping-in-touch chat sort of thing once you are settled in the new house - I can see you shifting your focus more towards the blog side of things - not just the one you have at the moment, but maybe a wider, more personal one too?
Feel a bit more lively today, although I've just got in to a massive horrible nasty spreadsheet to deal with - sigh! Off to the cinema (to see Toy Story 3) and for a meal tonight - I need to scour the restaurant deals in a bit
Today's Moodscope blog is about whether money makes you happy - interesting stuff http://www.moodscope.com/blog.phpDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thanks Squizz - you and Bob are both right, actually - while money is still an issue (while I still have the mortgages, I guess) I do need to keep focussed on clearing them. The French mortgage is 15 years long, but the guaranteed rental from the property is "only" 9 years - so there's a gap when I don't know if I'll even get the rental I do - the rental pays about half the costs at the moment.
And then life, the universe and everything goes to a blog - as you say, not just the renovation one, which is specialised, but mine own - a creativity something or other. Positivity. That arena

Nice pose
Thanks to Luc for another daily chat challenge, which went a bit like this...
Tell me one of your good points - I'm good at listening and helping people bounce ideas about
Tell me one of your 'development' points - Lack of confidence
Clear one thing off your to do list that has been there for aaaaaaaaages - buy thread to make the dress I've got material for
Do one thing for you and just for you - bought Babybels with lunch lol
Put 1p extra onto a debt payment today - paid £7.91 off overdraft, bringing debt down to £8500 exactly
Dance like a lunatic to one song or anything else that doesn't fail to make you feel good - can't really do dancing at work, but am going to see Toy Story later and expect to giggle lots
List one ebay item or throw away/charity bag one item - got a couple of things at home I can stick in charity bag later
Also - I think I have quite job no 3 (that's the one that pays £50 a month and involves looking after an internet forum which I had been doing voluntarily before), basically they want more active involvement and I really don't have the time/ energy/ inclination. I've offered to help if there's any background stuff that needs done, but otherwise it is more hassle than it's worth. Hopefully if I can sort out a cheap mobile contract that will counteract the loss of the money. It feels like a big relief actually as my heart hasn't been in the 'job' at all lately.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
