So do I ... I'm seriously considering having a lie down2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Eurgh, I'm tired of being tired! Get to sleep easily enough but I keep waking up early. This morning there was a moth clattering (well fluttering, but at that time in the morning it was loud) about between the blind and the window.
Had a chaotic afternoon at work yesterday, was glad to get home - I had lots of work to do which was fine but too many people interfering and getting unnecessarily hassled. Had a nice evening though - gardening, dinner, and then we booked to go and see Hamlet (with John Simm in) next month, and had a look at the swimming pool details. Mr S seemed fairly keen so going to go for a swim tonight if we both feel lively enough when we get home.
Mr S has new antidepressants from the doctor.. I honestly can't see how they will help without an improvement in the work situation, but I guess if they stop him slipping too far that is OK. Trying to think of other things we can do in the evenings to make the days a bit better too. I was pleased that he was interested in the theatre thing and the swimming.. and for once he didn't have a glass or two of wine last night, I think we both need to cut down on that a bit.
Got Quidco payout - a whole £2.76 - so that's come off my overdraft.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Sounds good, Squizz - and John Simm is great!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

This is a lazy copy and paste from the daily chat..
Well we got all ready to go swimming last night.. drove to the pool.. car park was very quiet.. building looked very closed... yep, there was a sign on the door saying they are shut for a fortnight for 'essential maintenance' So we went to Sainsburys instead (which doesn't really count as exercise). Went online and found another couple of pools we can go to, so might manage it tonight instead.. mind you it's so wet out there today could probably just swim down the street!
And this isn't...
Who closes a swimming pool for two weeks in the middle of the school holidays? Anyway going to have a walk at lunchtime in case the swimming doesn't happen tonight.
I also made blackcurrant jam last night (got 4 packs of blackcurrants in Sainsburys for 35p each instead of £1.99 each!).. yumDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Excellent on the jam - thats the way to use yellow stickers!
But boo on the swimming pool closure2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Tut I was about to update and the forum vanished!
My arms are a bit achy todayWent swimming last night, I managed 16 lengths (with quite a bit of resting inbetween!) which is 528m. Mr S struggled quite a lot - found the breathing really difficult and then got cramp
Still, he's said he will go back, so maybe next week. I'm thinking about walking up there at lunchtime to see how long it takes and if it's feasible to go for a swim at lunch. Had a look at the monthly membership but it's only worth it if you go more than twice a week... although it does include the gym and classes as well.
Work is trundling along, and no other news really. Just going to look for that great plan I made to see where I am with everything.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Thats good, Squizz - we're only just into August, after all. The training sounds great - do work pay, btw? (she said, whistling softly and looking the other way)2023: the year I get to buy a car0

If there's something I need (for 'need' read 'can justify') for work they will pay - so far everything I've done is either free or run by work anyway.
Don't think I'm walking to the gym today - too hungry!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Morning.. I feel blaaah today. Had a couple of glasses of wine last night and had a really rubbish sleep.
I've been using this website - http://www.moodscope.com/ - where you monitor how you feel each day and can add comments.. there's a definite link between alcohol and not-good moods.. well I know that of course but seeing it spelled out in front of you.
Ah well, nearly the weekend. No particular plans so will see what happens. Just the opportunity for a lie in sounds good at the moment!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
