If you've already installed SL and found that you have something that needs Rosetta (and you get a nice friendly message telling you that), you can simply put the SL disk back in and run 'Optional Installs' from it to get Rosetta on.
No need for that even; just try to open the PowerPC app, and Snow Leopard will tell you it needs Rosetta, then automatically download it from Apple and install it for you. :cool:0 -
Anyone who is planning to upgrade a (non-Pro) MacBook or (especially) a Mac mini to Snow Leopard should read this and this: there are some issues with the graphics in Front Row for models with GMA950 and X1300. It is likely that a fix will be released for it, for which you may prefer to wait.
Anyone who has encountered printer compatibility problems after upgading may find this helpful.
I posted this on another thread but some of what it contains may assist others on this one with their install.

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

I didn't even have to install my printer. I just plugged it in and Snow Leopard loaded the same drivers I had to manually install for Leopard.
Update: I've just discovered that an SD card inserted in my printer's card reader mounts on my Mac's desktop. Nice.0 -
BTW - Why do apple make it so hard to like giving them money? I was just about to order Snow Leopard from their store tonight when they chucked delivery on top, bringing it all up to £30. Same product from amazon was £22.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0

One of the little, but Oh so useful, touches I like about it is that it can be set to display the date, as well as the day of the week and the time, in the menu bar.
I'd have paid Apple £40 for that alone!

Well, that part of it just works!
And Apple has released a self-downloading fix for what didn't.

Thanks for that Leopard. Up until now, it was easier to see the date in Windows than OSX. I'll change my settings tonight!0

Sure you folk have picked up on this already... From macrumours website...
The report urges users to double check their Flash Player version and upgrade to version 10.0.32.18 if necessary in order to be sure that they have up-to-date protection against security threats.

Hope this helps someone... :beer:0
