Mac Snow Leopard

Marty J,
I could have sworn my update to 10.6.2 was around 150 MB.
Apple lists the updater at 473 MB and the Combo at 479 MB.
Snow Leopard displays "gross" file (and disc) sizes, so they're sitting on my desktop showing 496 MB and 503 MB, respectively.
I always download updates from here and store the ".dmg"s on the G4 Mac I use as a network server. Then, I run the Combo on all our Macs (which saves a lot of individual downloading on each one). The Combo is usually safer and it repairs anything else it finds untoward, at the same time.AppleInsider is reporting that Atom support is missing from 10.6.2.
Yeah. I figured that might happen. Doesn't bother me, personally: I run my Wind on a rock-solid version of 10.5.7 and I'm perfectly content with that, on a netbook. With hacks, I definitely subscribe to the maxim, "If it works, don't fix it"!
Mind you, that StellaRola is quite a guy. He wrote the brilliant "MSIwindOSX86.iso" hack for 10.5.2, upon which many subsequent hacks are based. I expect he'll produce a Snow version, sooner or later.
macman,Just run mine and it was 157.7MB.
Anyone Macheads tried Kaspersky Antivirus for Mac yet?-just installed my 30 day trial.
Would be most interested if you could be kind enough to tell us your own experience of MacKaspy in due course.
Has it detected anything for you, yet?
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Will do, Leopard. Nothing to report as yet. Quite disappointing really...the shortage of Mac viruses is becoming a problem...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Thanks, macman,
I'm sure all Windows users consider us horribly deprived of such useful things.
Somehow, I guess we can live with it , though.
