Went to Primark today as planned, my stuff amounted to £9.50 - great I thought, only 50p to pay. But lo and behold!! The dressing gowns are reduced to £6 each at the till (there were no reduced signs on the floor so I didn't realise)!:beer::beer::beer:

So (bad girl that I am) I got two! One very pale pink and one raspberry. I will probably give the spare one to my mum, she will love it. Two dressing gowns for £2.50 and I have cleared space in my wardrobe, yeeha!

(p.s. the receipt amnesty and the reduction on the dressing gowns are both nationwide according to the very nice SA)

I also brought some items back to Accessorize as the 70% sale started ONE DAY after I bought them at 50% off. They let me return them and re-buy them at 70% off. So that's another £5.60 in my pocket! :j:j:j:j

This thread has really inspired me to be more thrifty in buying clothes and accessories so thank you. :A

I bought some earrings from Accessorize in 70% off sale, they are beautiful but only realised once I got home that on one of the earrings a bead is missing, will they let me return/exchange? I love Accessorize!

Yes, they will do either a replacement or a refund as they are faulty.

in the past year I have brought only some boxer shorts and 3 pairs of jeans, cost for the lot under £30.

I understand women dont have the luxury of such cheap underwear but with bras with worn out straps you can buy bra strap retainers instead of a new bra and they are way cheaper, the rest of the bra should last a long time.

Be wary of returning things bought pre-sale in Primark without a receipt - they will only exchange for the current selling price. I bought loads (stupidly) one year and lost the receipt then decided I didn't like any of it. I had spent about £25 originally but could only get about £6 back as everything had gone down to £1 or 50p! Gutted!

    Good point!!

I (almost) never lose receipts, I keep them all in a box as I am scared of losing one and being stuck with something I don't want and wasting money!!! :rotfl:

All the stuff I brought back was from the £1 rail anyway, there was a dress that had been about £3 but oh well.

    Kaz, what a shame!!!!!!

I have been sorting through my clothes and am going to think about flogging some on eBay - would it be better to list individually or as a job lot? Bear in mind that we are talking approx 50 items!
