confession time
I bought a pair of diesel jeans for £3.99 from the charity shop today
Also bought a pair of vintage style shoes for £2.99 and a next grey suit jacket for £2.99
Total spend £9.97
looked at a beautiful victorian style purple velvet coat in DP £30 in the sale (would have been £24 with 20% student discount) thankfully they only had an 8 which was slightly too tight otherwise I'd have bought that too!!
so I fell off the wagon big style today:(

both of us back on track for tomorrow then! I'm just a bit ashamed that I can only go a week and a half without buying something for myself.
To be fair I will live in the jeans because I just love the way diesel jeans fit. I'll prob wear the shoes once, decide they hurt and then put the in the shoe graveyard along with all the others!!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

I bought 2 dresses at the weekend. One was for going out to a posh restaurant and the other is for a funeral. I did the wardrobe search and there was nothing in there which would work for either occasion so feel I am justified.
I feel that I need another cull soon as some clothes are coming towards the end of their life and getting ready to be slung. I will need to replace some but probably not as many as I think. If we have awful weather again this summer, I won't be needing any cropped trousers.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Thought I would try and revive this thread and see how everyone is doing.
I've managed to fall off the wagon (again)- bought a pair of shoes for £22 ready for the summer (realised I can't be wearing UGG style boots all year). I do see them as a long term investment as I always struggle to buy shoes that are comfy and fit right, and these seem perfect.
Also ended up in Primark with a friend of mine which led to buying 2 necklaces (total cost £4.50), jeggings (£5) and a long tunic style top (possibly even could be worn as a dress) for £8.
Total cost- almost £40! Really need to stop buying things. Other than this I've been good- I always seem to come here whenever I buy something.
I am telling myself now that I don't need anything now for summer or winter this year.
Tara- that skirt your selling is gorgeous. Good job I'm stopping myself from buying anything as otherwise I'd be bidding on it!
I've now finished my 'look' book and have ideas for outfits and ways to accessorise. I feel that at 25 I'm only just starting to find my sense of style and what suits me and what doesn't. What age did other people find what suits them and was there any particular influences or things that helped with this?

Hi Everyone
HappyLottle some good buys there, I am nearly 50 and still do not always get it right :rotfl:
Had a few Ebay sales so bought a lovely new black Next dress/tunic, Ted Baker floaty floral dress & a Ted Baker blouse with the proceeds from my Ebay sales.
Starting my new job on the 9th March, I have not worked since the 20th Novemeber as my broken ankle has been so problamatic, I am really getting used to being at home.
I will have to go to town and purchase some wider shoes as I am still unable to wear any of my shoes as my foot is still swollen.0 -

ThanksAlthough the person who bought it is complaining about postage costs (they live in another country) so the sale might be cancelled grr. Although I love it so much that I am thinking it's not meant to sell LOL.
I am still developing my sense of style too, I think it keeps evolving through life. I get my inspiration from magazines, TV shows, people around me and (lately) blogs by the girls on the fashion thread!I also pretty much know what suits me. My figure is quite hourglass so I stick to clothes that will show off my waist and disguise my hips and thighs. I like my legs below the knees so wear knee length stuff a lot. I mainly wear skirts and dresses as they show off my figure best, and I like them! I love feminine clothes and *adore* accessories. I do still wear trousers and jeans but MUCH prefer skirts/dresses, hence I love summer.
