Neonatal unit just called. Amber has to get eye drops for her crusty eyes.

GP just called, prescription is ready :rotfl:

    Magic service :)

My midwife told me to drip breastmilk into Molly's crusty eyes, we're doing that in between the eyedrops they gave us and the crusties are clearing up much faster than before she suggested it.

i havent caught up cos seth is napping and i think he's due to wake up any minute, he's been asleep long enough for me to eat last nights (homemade :D)curry remains, a creme caramel ;) a banana, put some washing on AND ring my nan! awesome!!

i was brave this morning and went to bumps and babies :j i spoke to lots of lovely mummies and arranged to go to mums on the move next week which is the buggy fit/power walking type thing! so pleased to have something to do wednesdays, OH never has it off, all my friends work and my nan is always out so wednesdays are always my lonely days.
but the volunteer woman knows my nan from her church and recognised me and grilled me to death on everything in my life, which really annoys me cos she sees the woman that gave birth to me at the workies and is now going to go back and report everything. i tried to give mostly one word answers but when i was talking to the other mums she was lurking behind me, it seemed like everytime i opened my mouth she was there waiting with a little mental notepad :mad:
i was quite happy with her out of my life and not knowing she has a grandson. i should have just not have been brave and kept myself to myself, then the can of worms wouldnt have been opened at all :(

This one works in 3 seconds! Best gadget I've bought in ages. Did you know my boobs are a whole degree cooler than my head?
I do now! :rotfl: I'd test the bottom of my back/top of hip Hubby calls that bit my cold spot because it always feels freezing there no matter how hot I am  (I thought it was a traditional strip thermometer not a fancy one ;))

That reminds me - we watched "The trouble with girls" on iplayer the other evening and it followed three 15/16 year olds for a year. The first one to have a baby was warming a bottle of formula and whoever was behind the camera asked her if she'd thought about breastfeeding. She said she'd tried but been told her nipples were too big so the baby couldn't latch on. She then said that it was okay because Farley's was powdered breastmilk anyway so it was just as good. (I don't think there's anything wrong with using formula - it's the fact that she was unaware of the difference that was disturbing.)
    ...

:eek::eek: Even if you don't want to press charges at this stage, it could be worth at least reporting it to the police so they have a record. That way if there are more problems with this lady (either for you or for anyone else) they know she has done stuff before.
    ...
:rotfl: Alice never gets that excited about breakfast. At the moment she always "needs" everything so she says, "I need the porridge."
    at powdered BM
I agree about reporting her actually, Tramp Lady could have an asbo or something so then the police would take note if she's breaching it

    Chris at the moment won't say don't its all "I can't like that" "I wouldn't like that"

r/mac MFD made a good point, what about coming home

sparkle, if that was me, i dont think it would have got to the point of me being pushed on the floor, cos she would have been on the floor first :o but then i am a feisty one i suppose!! when i was in my last couple of weeks at work before ML a drunk woman decided to come in and try and grab my belly every day, it took a lot to not floor her but i thought since i was at work i should make the effort :rotfl: in the end i said "i wish you'd leave me alone, i'm not actually pregnant, just fat!" and she didnt come in again lol!

Susan i saw that the other night and i was shocked! she seemed so sure that it was powdered breast milk and that was that! i dont have anything against formula and have given all my babies it at some point but this little one refuses to take it. she is very spoilt i think lol! how many babies do you know that would go without for 8 hours rather than give in to a bottle???

Ok here my rant starts. 5 years ago there was a drunk drug driver that killed the son of a family friend, the driver also killed their neighbour and her daughter and seriously injured family friend and her baby girl. I have just picked up the local paper to find out that the driver has been released already! 5 years for killing 3 people, im so shocked and feel sick knowing that he is going to be back on the streets able to carry on with his life and living 1 street away from the family he has destroyed. think im just in shock?

Yay! I just won a tiny love playmat on ebay for £7! My sister was supposed to be buying one before Caitlyn was born but she hasn't mentioned it since. I know she's saving for her wedding and I'd feel a bit rude asking whether she's still getting it. If she does get one then this can always be a spare.

    Feelie - I want one! £35's a lot of money though! I'm such a tight ar5e.

Em- the group on Wednesdays sounds good. It gets boring looking at the same 4 walls - will keep you fit too!

Been doing that, they just err on the side of caution because she was in special care. Will collect it tomorrow when we go register her.

I had things to say but can't remember any of it, my mind is still at that one track baby baby baby stage I'm afraid, when does it pass?
