  • Wakey babies all round then - Benjamin was awake singing to himself at 2.30am this morning  after 20 mins I decided he wasn't getting any sleepier and grabbed him for some booby sleeping juice! He was back down within 10 mins :D

MacSmiler I was wondering what you were going to do on the way home from hols?? Same problem in reverse but in a foreign land.

ooh BF v FF debate on gmtv this morning
That reminds me - we watched "The trouble with girls" on iplayer the other evening and it followed three 15/16 year olds for a year. The first one to have a baby was warming a bottle of formula and whoever was behind the camera asked her if she'd thought about breastfeeding. She said she'd tried but been told her nipples were too big so the baby couldn't latch on. She then said that it was okay because Farley's was powdered breastmilk anyway so it was just as good. (I don't think there's anything wrong with using formula - it's the fact that she was unaware of the difference that was disturbing.)

Found out yesterday I need to go for a GTT again this pregnancy.... gutted...........
I think generally if you've had the GTT in one pregnancy you'll be offered it at subsequent pregnancies as usually the risk factors which caused you to have one previously would still be there. I won't give my opinion of the GTT and GD as I'm sure I have before but I will point out that you do have a choice whether to take it or not...

Argh  Im so upset and annoyed, I just popped out to go to the post office and I had Lexi and Joshua with me. Some stupid drunken hag was bending over into Lexi's pram and trying to touch her  So I said ' sorry but would you mind not touching her please as she isnt very well' ( a lie but she was drunk, filthy and shouty) I just wanted to get away :o
So she started rambling something at me about how rude I was and tried to pick her up - well I saw red  I told her to move away from the pram and stop touching my baby now or she would end up sorry :o

She stopped but she only went and pushed me over - right onto the floor, I honestly wasnt expecting it. I didnt know what to do then so I came home and now I am fuming!

All I wanted to do was go the the bl00dy post office, Im really upset and shaking I think thats just the rage inside me!
:eek::eek: Even if you don't want to press charges at this stage, it could be worth at least reporting it to the police so they have a record. That way if there are more problems with this lady (either for you or for anyone else) they know she has done stuff before.
My nearest Butlins is about 30 miles away. Do you think that's a bit mean to take them not too far away? Or would the fact they are at Butlins be enjoyment enough? I'm going to have to see if they do weekend breaks or something, rather than a whole week, just as a taster. Or maybe day entry as it's not so far away.
I can't really say how much they would like Butlins as it's a long time since I went (14 years) so it might be different now and also I don't know your daughters but I can say that we always enjoyed it and that once you were there it was irrelevent really how far away it was. If it's nearer it means more time there enjoying it and less time travelling. (A day trip or weekend to try it out is probably a good idea though.)

From 6 months and you can use cows milk to make it if you want. Charlotte still has warm weetabix for breakfast. She loves it and runs down the stairs on a morning yelling "yay it's time for weetabix" :rotfl:
:rotfl: Alice never gets that excited about breakfast. At the moment she always "needs" everything so she says, "I need the porridge."

This may sound a bit cruel, but when Jasmine used to wake up a stupid amount of times at night for a quick drink of milk then go back to sleep, we started giving her a bottle of water and she eventually got the idea after a few nights that it wasnt worth waking up !!

  • Sparkle - hugs - I agree with susan, you should call the police so you get a crime number. What if the filthy old hag is off pushing pregnant ladies over now! The police won't be that bothered anyway but better that they know IMHO.

EVERYONE - can I be really rude and ask us all to chop bits out of whoever we are quoting and just quote the bit we are replying to....leaving in massive posts from other people makes the thread really long and puts people off. PLEASE don't be offended or shout at me :o it's my @n@l side coming out :o
I know I am guilty too but I promise to be better in future :A

I am off to baby bop this afternoon and will be having a word with the lady who runs it about 'If you're happy and you know it' wish me luck, I am sweating just thinking about it :o

Not sure about that as when I got blood results Doctor said I didnt need one this time.

Weetabix / Ready Brek - I used to give Henry Weetabix mixed with formula milk when he was weaning and then changed to cows milk when he was a year old and was having cows milk generally.

MFD - dont worry I agree with you re quoting large amount of previous posts

Thanks for the hugs everyone, have been a good citizen and reported it or at least tried to .... was asked what exactly I wanted done about it? I replied that there wasnt anything specific I wanted done at this time but I thought the police should be made aware of a inebriated, unhinged lady wondering around harrassing people and potentially hurting children.

'Oh right , well thanks for letting us know' was the reply I got. I asked if there was anything else that they might need to know and was told
    'No'
    pause
'Is there anything else we can help with right now?'

Not a good day today

Thank god! I had a feeling some might do but I was still worried about putting anything down.

I really am going now - I will await my public flogging later with anticipation!
