I have a bag of about 6 or 8 that Alexandra refuses to use so no... you're not the only one :) We found we got along best with the Avent ones :)

We use the Dr brown ones. We have also used MAM and they were fine too. Only stopped using them for the time being as the No 1 teats flw too slowbut the No 2 teats flow too fast x

When i started FF she seemed to be having problems with going. She only now goes every 2 or 3 days. Now the HV seemed to think she wasnt constipated as her poo's are still really soft but she always explodes out of her nappy and the from as early as the day before she has her poo she seems to be bothered by pain in her tummy. She goes red in the face straining but still no poo for another day or so. It is still the same consistency as when i was BF her tho. Not hard at all. Any ideas? Could this be the amount of formula per oz/mls ratio?

Angela, I'm still BF Aaron and he poo's exactly like this, strains for a day or so then explodes. My HV says that is not constipation as it's soft when it comes out, and it would be pellet-like if he was constipated, she said not to confuse 'not going' with 'not being able to go'. She also said this is very common/normal and not to worry unless the baby seems to be in real pain, rather than discomfort. So as it's just like what's happening with me and I'm BF, I would say it's not to do with your formula ratios.

  • Searching - what music are you listening to? I was shocked the other day when I saw Brian Molko from Placebo on the reading festival coverage. He doesn't look quite like he did when I had him stuck on my bedroom wall. Then I looked in the mirror, looked at my mortgage statement and picked up the baby. A lot of things have change in mumblemumble years ;)

On the subject of door bouncers (from a million posts ago...) I have the tigger one, my brother bought it for Aimee and she loved it (especially when the big dog ran past her and span her round really fast!) I put Caitlyn in it the other day and she was really excited about it but just kept leaning back so I shall leave it a few more days then try her in it again... It actually comes up a lot higher than that photo looks... It's practically up to Caitlyn's neck!

Just constructed the cot, it fits perfectly in the gap where the crib was apart from I've had to swap my big bedside table for a small stool... Popped Caitlyn in it, she seemed quite happy... Happy enough to sleep past 4am? Let's hope so!

CSA can also now fine him £1000 (I think) for each change of circumstances he doesn't inform them of! ;)
I wouldn't get it though would I? And he has an attachment of earnings because he won't acknowledge the csa... More fool him, it's costing him extra in the long run... I don't know how long to leave it before I ring up and get them to chase it up / start a new search through his inland revenue record to find his new employer...
