Congrats to Tigs and Marleyboy!
My boy has just had a late lunch of Fromage Frais and Cucumber sticks!!! Good for the teeth!I've read that there is a 6 month growth spurt. Sorry sleep's gone rubbish for you too
it's weird isn't it? I was all geared up for it at first, but now I'm a bit disorientated!
Pears! Whole with no teeth? Well done Benjamin! He's very advanced MFD. Fergie is absolutely nowhere near locomotion yet. Do you have carpet? Daft question I know, but I think Fergie finds it really difficult on our very smooth wooden floorboards to get any sort of grip. He does the right knee up and forward, left knee up and forward bit, but doesn't go anywhere. Just sort of swims marooned on his giant nappy on his slippy slidy floors!
MFD, Yes it's very annoying you don't live in Cardiff! When are you all moving here? It's really not enough to keep sending your OHs to Wales!
A few of my RL friends with babies of a similar age are going through a rough sleeping patch too...Must be an age related thing.
We do have carpets, we used to have laminate (which I hated but it was here when we got here and at least it was dark wood laminate) but as soon as I found out I was pregnant we decided to get carpet. Can you put a rug down for Fergie?
I'm not moving to Cardiff now David Tennant is no longer there...MFD - We don't like the jars in our house either - she doesn't like the texture. We use pouches when out and about either Ellas kitchen or plum.
All my HM purees are sitting in the freezer
She'll eat broccoli, but only whole - not pureed:rotfl:same for most foods really.
I bought pouches for holidays - just one for each day, just in case hubby and I want curry or something!! Mostly Benjamin will eat whatever I can get my hands on!!money_maker wrote: »Morning
Well we are back from the hospital, Dylan is now sound asleep so I have 5 mins to come on here.
Thanks for all the good luck wishes, it really does mean a lot :T
MM - glad the doc was nice and that things are starting to move forward for you and Dylan.
...still reading...please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Were really happy when we went in as it was the same pediatritian that went with Dylan to NICU in the ambulance the night he was born and he remembered us
Very strong Asian accent and a bit hard to understand, but lovely all the same
Right, we have a full referral to an infant physiotherapist as he still doesnt have very good muscle tone and does not seem to be developing as quickly as he should be. He is concerned over the amount of time he has his hands in fists and his pure reluctance to open them to grab hold of anything, also that he will not turn his head to the right and that he still cant hold his head straight when lifted up by the hands (ie. still a bit floppy)
He was very appologetic at not being able to tell us much untill he has a full assessment at the physio, but we did find out that the initial diagnosis of TTN the night he was born was probably wrong, as most babies get over that in 24 to 48 hours and he didnt, they think it was probably Persistant Fetal Circulation which just means that the main blood vessle to his lungs didnt open properly when he was born.
So I am no further forward
We have been shown a few more exercises to do, try to make him look to the right and massage his hands open 5 to 10 times a day whether he likes it or not
I think I may get screamed at a bit
He is taking 5 x 180ml bottles a daywhich is only 30ml less than the recommended amount for his size and weight, so he is happy with that though, so there was something good
Thanks for all the good luck wishes, it really does mean a lot :T
Went well then?
Did the tell you to make sure his thumbs are not tucked under his fingers? It can cause muscle tone problems later on and is a big issue with DS2. The massaging makes you feel like crap if they don't like it, but keep it up, it really does work. You have to learn to be an evil mummy and do things they don't like so that in years to come they may never thank you but you know you made the difference
Don't worry so much about the 'why did this happen', which is hard to do but eventually you get used to the fact that you just might never know and it doesn't really matter so much after a while.0 -
One interesting thing, when pumping I had equal output in both boobs. Now I get more than twice as much from Toby's favourite boob!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Thanks huni :kisses3:
He never said anything about his thumbs, but he didnt really say much, just that the physio will do a full check on him and then we will go back to the hospital.
How are things with you ??The two best things I have done with my life

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
MM you were one of the first things/people I thought of when I woke up today;)
I havent much more to add to the comments the other wise people have said but i'm glad your appointment went okay. Soon enough Dylan wont want to hold your hand anymore cos he'll be all grown-up so just enjoy all the extra hand holding (albeit forced!!) that you can do when massaging the little man!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
Scruffy - On her trike, there is a red circular pop in/out thing on one side of the wheel at the front, you push it in and she can't pedal, it just spins round and round, and pop it out so she can pedal.
Well that was a nightmare, took me 45minutes to get home because of that trike. LOL. She enjoyed it, but the steering is a nightmare because of her weight and the sloped pavements, so I'm shouting out TURN TURN STRAIGHT TURN, every second as it naturally kept steering towards the road. Think OH needs to tighten the handle, it's a bit wobbly, so it makes it harder for me to turn it back into a semi straight position!
We had good fun with it though! She had lots of fun at nursery too and had a pancake for snack, ooooooh, and they had gym with a P.E teacher.
Tomorrow they get to take an "activity bag" back home, basically it's a toy they can keep for the weekend, there is even scooters! Gotta be there at 3 to get the best stuff though haha.0 -
Welcome tigerstoonie and congratulations!
Glad the app went ok mm, I hope he gets used to hand opening quickly!
Sami, toys r us are good for jigsaws, I've got a few there because my friends little girl loved jigsaws. It might be worth a go if you haven't already looked? :-) And these are not really what you're looking for but they're groovy :-)
Just in case anyone has been following Celia's poo adventures (hello Glam!) she had a normal one at lunchtime so hopefully we'll all have a not too hideous night tonight *crosses everything*Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
