Weezl - as is the answer to most random baby behavior it could be teething

ooooh brave with the swimming! We keep saying we must go :):o

I went to a new parent group run by health visitors for 6 weeks, that was really good, your GP practice might send you a letter about that.

Also we really like baby rhyme time at cardiff central library. It's free, is every wednesday and thursday morning (they had to split the weds session it was so popular) and a lovely librarian leads singing. I wasn't sure whether fergus would get much out of it, but from 8 weeks I think it's the highlight of his week!

I've tried a thursday afternoon mum and baby group in canton £1.50 including drink and fruit/biscuits, and another group in Grangetown on a friday morning £1 again with coffee/tea and snacks. I found the grangetown one slightly more friendly although both were nice :)

I'll happily go along with you to something if you don't like the idea of being a 'newbie' :o;)
Thanks so much. My health visitor signed me up for baby rhyme and said I'd get a letter in the post when I could go. Does that sound right or can I just turn up? TBH, I wasn't gonna go as it is a bit daunting going to these things for the 1st time. This is going to sound silly but what do you do at these mum + baby groups?

You really should try swimming. Tomos loved it. He was a bit chilly (shaky lip) but was still smiling. Obviously at 12 weeks he couldn't do a lot but was still kicking his legs and trying to swin with his arms sometimes. It was great fun even though it was £8 for 25 mins. But he will probably be able to last longer the more we go.

how old is fergie now Weezl? I know I was worried about Aimee for a time at about 6/7 months, she wasn't interested in feeding much and I had a chart showing how often a baby should feed and she just wasn't doing it... I did the only sensible thing I could think of in the end... I threw the chart away and we were both much happier ;) (she also did start to feed more after a couple of weeks...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks to all who answered my question re. baby names! And Susan, i love your 'whittling down" of the names i might do this, but it seems like so much hard work for me haha. I think i'd grade them all as a 3 and that would be game over :rotfl:
We did take about 7 months to do it (although a lot of time was wating for OH to do his preferences) but started before TTC. Boys names were much harder as we both like much fewer names and there was almost no overlap between what I lijked and what he liked. I was glad we had a girl so wouldn't have to go through the boys names again but OH keeps talking about redoing the boys names anyway.

Fergus is now eating 1/3rd the amont of milk for his weight and almost no solids. 4 tsp of yoghurt all day. :(

    Any more tips?:confused::D

He's never gone off his food before, it's so weird, and the night waking feels like it's linked!
I believe some babies go off milk/food when they are teething because it hurts their mouth. Also, could he be coming down with something as that could affect appetite? Alice had a random phase at about 9 months of having much shorter feeds but didn't start waking up (and of course I had no idea how much she was actually getting). If I was in your situation, I'd probably consult a health visitor

    Evening all..

Caz, I was thinking earlier, any improvement with your nephew? How long were the hospital going to leave it before seeing him again?

After lunchtime's "where were you?" phone call from the hospital, it turns out they'd put it in the diary wrong or told me wrong, one of the two. There was always the question over whether it was going to be Friday or Tuesday and they told me Friday but wrote it on Tuesday's page in the diary  Anyway, calcium levels coming down but phosphate levels going back up so we've got to restart one of the meds and have another blood test in two weeks. Next app is the brain scan on Thursday afternoon.. :o

Been into town and ordered the bouncer - they let me use my giftcards :) Being delivered here in the next 3-5 days but it's usually only 2 :D Rhys was grouchy all the way round and downed the 100ml bottle I took with me - gone are the days he will last through a shopping trip! Ah well, any excuse to stop for tea and cake for me and Mum!

Am sure I had something else to say...
