should do, but please ring the airline and double check. i dont want to send you off with wrong information. i will see if DH will check for you as he is working today.

thats what i thought. tia you are a star. :T
i'm gonna get that bouncer and get my sister to get the paymat/gym with a good toy bar and that will do. baby will be at most 6 weeks when she visits so plenty of time to sort playmat/ toy arch thing

If I remember when she is awake I'll take a pic so you can see what a newborn looks like in it (they always show older babies!).

Tobes was weighed today, 20lb 4oz.

He is above the weight for his bouncer, but I'm not comfortable leaving him sat on his own for too long. What options do I have for places to put him? He gets fed up of being on his belly all the time.
Ed was 13lb 3oz today :) You could get a baby jail AKA play pen I have a lindam one, great for when you need to know they're not touching things they shouldn't.
Rocking chair that's birth - toddler (but don't use if he's sitting up on his own, Chris managed to tip his )
an inflatable play nest? or maybe he'd find his way out of one?

Now thats weird because I have Tesco ones for Henry that were on sale at the time which he uses alot of the time ie to go to sleep with etc and I find them ok... they wash really well..
My problem was I found them too thin and not very absorbent so any dribbles from Ed's mouth/my boobs went straight through them even when folded over a couple of times :)

sami this is a list from thomas cook for baby things. http://www.thomascookairlines.co.uk/guidance.asp
no mention of car seats so just give them a call to make sure
its bout 6 months since i last checked and things can change

thomas cook airlines dont offer skycots
seems to be just the scheduled ones like BA/ Virgin etc
Thanks hun! I'd hve to measure it but I think I could fit it in a hand luggage bag so might smuggle it on ;)

He can sit up on his own (as long as no one is watching, the terror pretends he can't when I try and show people!!).

Mum has bought his a play nest, hopefully that'll do for a while.

I don't like leaving him sitting alone, because he doesn't quite understand how to balance. He keeps forgetting!

When I was at our local asda today they seemed to be stocking the shelves with these bouncers:

    http://direct.asda.com/Red-Kite-Bouncy-Cradle/002656362,default,pd.html

They were still at £25.00 so dont know if they will go down in price for the baby event.

  • Depends how big baby is by now (I loose track unless it is in people's signatures I'm afraid :o), but a bumbo (or similar) could be somewhere to sit baby too? Or build a nest on the floor with a duvet?

Izzy spent most of her time either under her play gym, or on a blanket on the floor (briefly for tummy time, but also she liked to lie watching what I was doing, or the news on the tv!

So stressed out! Nursery was great and I ended up staying till the end because the other kids wouldn't let me leave, and kept saying "come play this with me" etc. Anyhow that was all good, except for the MAJOR TANTRUM all the way home with her, seriously worst one ever, because "she didn't want to go home, she wanted to stay at nursery" I was embarrassed at how she was going out, random shreiking, wailing, thrashing. She's lucky I didn't throw her on the road.....joke...

    Wheres me chocolate...
