Hi girls (and gents
) I just wondered if any of you felt completely baffled about names when preg, and did one just eventually 'come to you'??
I am having a girl and i have realised there is no girl's name on this earth that i like for my baby!! Lol! My mother says one will jump out at me nearer the time and not to worry, but i said i think i'll end up just lumping for one in the end whether i like it or not cos it'll be too late!0 -
Two quick questions -
12 month jabs? checkup? We're nearly at 13 months, should I be calling the clinic and chasing an appt, or did I imagine that something happens at 12 months?
Cot beds? Any recommendations, IKEA, Mothercare, ...? When did you make the change? Elijah seems to be at the stage where he is enjoying pulling himself up the side of our (technically travel-, though it's never gone anywhere) cot and we're pretty sure he will plunge down the other side to his doom sooner rather than later...
Thanks! At work today after OH insisted I went in, hoping I don't regret it as emails from her so far have not been reassuring me that things are going smoothly, he seems to be refusing naps again. Hopefully she stays cool.
Good luck with jabs, Sami/Ed and anyone else having them! And aaaargh Elle, that sounds frustratinggood luck with results...

El went into her cot bed very early she was only a couple of months old. Is it a travel cot he is it at the mo (sorry didn't quite understand that bit in your post) If it is I don't think it's recommended for regular use, this could be causing some of the problem with his sleep. Sorry if I have misread your post.
Been to toddlers then to tesco, bought a bubble gun and El was in fits when we got home and got it opened.
Has anyone got a bounce and spin zebra if so are they any good?Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Pampers Size 1s are £3 (instead of £3.74) in Tesco at the minute
Have you signed up to all the baby clubs again for the vouchers too?
Have signed up again for a few of them... Boots you cant sign up again using same advantage card so have asked them how I get vouchers again.
Beeniecat - I could only ever think of girls names (didnt know what we were having) and when LO turned up had to quickly think of boys names ! To be honest we wouldnt have chosen those names before we saw him!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
My lovely OH made me do this for a few days a week for a few weeks after Aaron was born, I lurrrrrrrrrrve him! He brought me up all food and drinks I wanted and making sure I was having enough for the breastfeeding, and told anyone that wanted to come and visit that no they couldn't come as I was resting. He'd come and take Aaron if he wouldn't settle for sleep (which was a LOT, he barely napped in the day for the first few weeks) so that I could sleep and then bring him back when I was ready.
I did feel bad at first as I couldn't get used to asking him to move the curtain over as the sun was shining on me too much, or to bring me something, or to do this or that for me... but I got used to it *sigh*.
I'll put the feelers out to see if he'll do this for other new mums too lol.
what a fantastic OH
is he spare in about 3-4 weeks time by any chance??
just to show DH what to do.....'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Well I was made to feel like a bad mummy at the jabsChris was faffing about and tipped the pram over while he was in it!
I told the nurse about Ed's reaction to the last jabs to see what she thought about seperating the next lot if he has a reaction to the menC one he's had today that's new to him, she said I should have took him to the GPI didn't coz I thought they'd just say "oh its his jabs stop being an over protective mum"

Hi all, hope u don't mind me just butting inWe've got one of the bounce and spin zebras for Jake and he loves it, apart from now he's a bit bigger he tends to try and bounce it around the living room and tries to carry it around with him lol. They are good tho except the music gets very annoying after a while!

I used these for all three of mine:

but instead of having a turned down top, I used to unfold them so it gripped all the way up their legs and they couldn't kick them offHi girls (and gents) I just wondered if any of you felt completely baffled about names when preg, and did one just eventually 'come to you'??
