Weezl, I'm smelly too. I only bathed Amber last night (her second bath since birth) because she had snot in her hair and it was interfering with my stroking of her hair during feeding.
And just to show that all babies are different, Amber hardly feeds at all. Her 50/50 EMB/FF bottle last night at 11pm, a quick BF (10mins) at 5am, a 20min BF at 10am and a 15min BF at 1pm.
Don't know if I would be offended at giving someone elses milk to Amber. I have a whole 2oz in the freezer and if someone were to say tome right now, 'Here's loads of EBM for you to use at night rather than formula' I'm not sure if I would use it or not.... wouldn't be offended at the offer, but would have to think on it.0 -
My mum swears my little bro would BF for 3 mins each side and need nothing for more 4 hours. Alex can feed for anywhere from 20 to 50 mins in total. Am putting him on a FF at 11pm tonight so can dream-feed him. He just won't dream-feed off me and when he's sleepy doesn't take enough to get him to 3.30-4am.
My boobs don't feel like they're 'filling up' before feeds at the moment. Is it anything I should be concerned about? Krystal?MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

Thanks mel, and all who've offered milk before bed thoughts, I'll give those ideas a try
Sami, sugar is on that list of no-nos, does anyone know what to do about giving fruits like rhubarb which are far too acidic to be tolerated by babies or adults without added sugar?
TIA

I wouldn't worry about not washing your baby everyday Skinty, I never bothered with that, I think mainly it's if you want to encorporate it into your bedtime routine, like bath, boob and bed!
I found if I washed Keira too often her skin dried out, so I did about twice a week, plus she never liked it so liked to avoid the screaming fits at all cost!0 -
Hi all
Hope everyone is ok.
I'm ok, well not really, but i'll survive.
Am waiting for a CPN to get in contact, as I feel like i'm on me way down the PND route
Ryan is being a good boy, sleeping 10pm to 7am with a 6pm bedtime (I would prefer a 7pm bedtime but he never makes it that late, ho hum.)
We have got over the 'dummy-gate' he only has it to initially go sleep at 6pm with then not again all night so I dont mind it now.
I officially cant wait till the holidays are over, my son is driving me insane! and is getting so bored:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

Mel - I've just had a discussion with mum and agreed that DD will go to a childminder once a week - one of her childminding friends has a space for once a week - hopefully it will bring her speech along and then going to playgroup next year won't be such a shock to the system.
I couldn't see the video
Sugar - you can buy fruit sugar at the supermarket could that be a substitute in the rhubarb?
Feelie - you are a good mum.
I love my dad - he's just bought me a car!!!! Mine's ok but a bit of a banger - with a very intermittent speedometer!! The cars being registered in my name but his is going on the finance - on a DMP so can't do finance - I will be paying him though. But ssssssssssssh it's a secret from DH, he won't be happy as I wouldn't let him change his motorbike this week.
DD loved the car showroom - one of the salesmen gave her a teddy bear!!
Avocados - I bought one from Aldi last night, it's rock hard - is it ripe when it goes a bit squishy?
Just had a terrible 2's tantrum - she chose her pudding out of the fridge (strawberry custard) as soon as I opened it she changed her mind and wanted the chocolate one, put her on the floor and told her she wasn't having anything then - 3 minutes later back in her seat and scoffed the lot!!
Had a bit of a financial sorting out today - looked into opening a basic account at my new bank to pay my wages into - I get paid weekly so I'd then transfer the money on a monthly basis to the joint account.
Just need to pick an application form from the bank on Tuesday along with an application pack for a savings account for DD, an ISA application and a general savings account. (I've fallen out with my current bank so I'm moving everything including DD's CTF).
Baths - whenever she's got in a mess eating her tea.
MDWProud to be dealing with my debts
