  • Weezl you think of everything! Yes please can I have a peek at the recipe?

I'm setting up a standing order for nursery. It is all getting too close for comfort ! I know she is going to have a fab time - we will go to pick her up and she won't want to come home. I will miss her far more than she misses me .

Oh, back to peanut butter, you can get cashew nut butter and pumpkin seed butter in Holland and Barret (and probably other health food type places too!) which do the same job of being something not sweet, but high in callories to spread on bread/crackers :) Izzy loves her pumpkin seed butter, but it is very sticky stuff. Sometimes it is easier to pop her in the bath afterwards!

Oo now somehow I never made that connection, we should definitely try some other butters! Thanks ladybyird, good idea!

Wow, under a year, you are speedy! And get her, complaining about not being thanked as she approaches 20,000 thankyous :T

I would love to cook some rhubarb, OH hates it and anything tart though! She would rather go without dessert than eat something lemony or rhubarb-based, it is very hard on me...

There were some other things to reply to but I forgot them :( we have had a nice afternoon out visiting the Docklands Museum, partly as research for OH's novel. It had a good soft play area, and large expanses of gallery floor where we let Elijah go wild. We took him by train in his sling (took turns wearing it), and he was good as gold the whole time, very active when allowed to be, then on the way home just fell asleep in the sling...! Got home transferred him into cot where he still snores, been lights-out for nearly an hour so far.
So those of you suggesting we go for 2 naps earlier and later have hit the nail on the head, at least when he gets a lot of activity and stimulation in... :)
Ocado order just parking up outside, think that'll wake him, it's his supper time anyway...

thanks sami :) more poo wouldn't be bad... he's a once every 5 days man, has been since birth :o

    Ladybird, try roasting 130g of:

    091728.jpg?ts=633618517360

with a little oil drizzled over, until they're kinda evenly browned. I did them in a non stick frying pan for about 5 mins.

Then put into blender with 40 ml of oil (I used an olive and vegetable oil mix) This made quite a runny paste, so it went further, but if you use less oil you can make a stiffer paste more like a peanut butter.

I added salt and cracked black pepper, but Izzy may prefer you to leave those out of her portion! Makes 170g of cashew butter for 71p, and the cashew butter I found locally and online is £3.69, so 5.2 times cheaper :money::money::money:

A plainer flavoured oil, like just vegetable oil would make it cheaper and might be slightly blander for izzy's palatte?

    HTH

    Love Weezl xxx

edit: Almonds would work out cheaper at 58p per 170g jar :)

I read back over preggy club 4 to find my first posts, (including proof that I knew she was a girl) and then spent the next wee while in tears cuddling Amber. :o
