I think it can feel intimdating because you all seem to know each other so well, and also there's always conversations going on that an "outsider" can't necessarily join in with as they're an ongoing convo that you weren't involved in. So sometimes you can post but not be acknowledged as everyone is already into a conversation about something else.

I don't think it's exclusive of this thread though, i found the preg thread to be the same at one point, and i don't think there's any way to prevent it, apart from to try and acknowledge newbie posts which i think over on preg thread happens a lot more than it did.

It's the same on all big chat threads, i.e anywhere in the arms which can be cliquey, or the debt diaries, etc etc

elle, if OH wants him to stay longer and you've had enough, is there an option of you going away to 'see to Rhys' if he's being obnoxious?

Yes she seems to be settling down much more. Not sure if it's her age, her increased weight (7lbs 6oz at last weigh) or just luck but we're getting more settled nights around feeds, and the feeds are spacing out a bit now too, to around 2hourly.

And yes, she pooed on the carpet (and Nanna!) in spectacular fashion :p
ooh good lil girly :D I'd forgotten how much they poop until Ed came along.
I'm sure her sleep will get better and better (with the occasional blip) xxx

    3? That many? Oh.. :(;):p

Nah, he won't be at all bothered. Never asks about him. He only wants to come because he thinks he's doing Craig a favour "getting him away" from me and Rhys for a while.. What he fails to realise is that Craig actually, amazingly enough, wants to be with us! :p We already know he's coming armed with something for Craig's computer in an attempt to lurr him into the comp room and away from "all that girly !!!!"

His wife, on the other hand, will want to know every little detail and it'll go straight in one ear and out the other..

Sorry, I know I sound !!!!!y, I just can't help it. OH pointed out yesterday that he's never nasty about my friends.. when I asked, "Why would you? What's wrong with them?" he couldn't answer! :p

beeniecat, I think I know what you mean. It can take a lot of back reading to work out what the current debate is! I hope it doesn't put you off too much. I'm glad you've persevered :D

FWIW, this thread to me quite often feels like one of those big family parties where about 10 different conversations are going on all at once, and you can join in with Grandma about how to make the beetroot relish, or Uncle Max about the state of the economy. Or just keep quiet and fiddle with your napkin :)

Skinty, I hope you stay and post, I really like your thoughtful approach to things. :)

One tip for newbies, if you have a specific question, try bolding it. That can help highlight important things that we might miss. :)

I don't post much of interest anyway so i don't expect replies, it's usually relating to hair dye, heartburn, lack of money, McDonald's fantasies, and other random ponderings. I just like to waffle :rotfl:
