People don't seem to know Teeside exists. The year I went to university, Boro had been in two cup finals (but lost them both) and people still didn't know what I meant if I said "near Middlesbrough". They also thought I should talk in either a Geordie accent or a Yorkshire accent.
LOL this is so true, whenever i've met people from "down south" they say my accent is weird, and is it "supposed" to be Geordie or Yorkshire? I say neither, but then even people from Boro and Stockton sound different to me, i'm in D*rlington :p
  • Looks like summer is finally over... It's lashing it down here, thunder and everything... Oh well... At least it keeps the foul mouthed kids next door in...

We have the thunder too - such a shame because my neighbours daughter is having a civil ceremony today and they will be emerging as Mrs and Mrs anytime now.

Ooo - the sun just came out!! They might be okay yet, fingers crossed.

Do you remember the banana incident - when OH gave the LO a banana and neither LO nor his mum knew what to do with it?

Unfortunately we haven't got a table atm. Got rid of the old one but have picked the new one and are going to Ikea, minus Rhys, to collect it in a few weeks. Must be before 20th Sept as I've got a £10 off (wys £60) voucher valid until then!
:eek:I'd forgotten that one!! I've got that voucher too and I was planning on using it for a new table but I need to sell our old table first- the top is currently behind the sofa :p

I have to confess that i think this is wrong:confused: I read the review when researching things so wouldn't like to think they were made up. Re: the products, if you aren't prepared to use them on your LO then you should email bb. However, it would be an intersting experiment to see what effect they did have and you would be able to give a review based on that. However I totally see your reluctance to use them on your LO.
I agree ;) I wondered about this too because I spotted that bb are gonna test pampers active fit which bring Chris out in a rash so I won't be buying them for Ed in case they have the same effect BUT I think it would be unfair to not have that shown in a review. It does say somewhere that if you/LO has a reaction to a product ti stop using and let them know...

Finally, the child shuts his eyes! Sleepy yesterday, wide awake today, right when I should be doing jobs.. shame! ;):D

OH came in from work but went out again to see the neighbours.. 90mins ago! He's found something on the council webside to bolster our side of the parking wars argument - the rest of the street again one PITA couple (two people, three cars, long drive, small cul-de-sac and yet they insist on parking on the street instead of their drive!!)
ooh I'd be tempted to park on their drive LOL (though not if they'd key my car ) Did someone call the police over that note? I'd be demanding fingerprints, DNA and handwritting analysis (me, watch too much CSI? nooo):rotfl:

Ps. Ed has bad tummy ache :( today so I prob not gonna post much.
My week just gets better! the M5 has been closed due to accident so hubby along with a million others is working his way home via A roads - god knows when he'll get back :(

Amazingly the educational psychologist called back!! But, they only fund full time sessions in the 3 council operated nursery units. Now, he did spend time in one of these and it was very good, but I don't want him moving nursery, the kids know him where he is and some of them can actually understand what he is saying, I don't want him losing the confidence he is getting from that before he goes to school. We can apply to the LA for funding for a private nursery but it's rare. Thats because our LA are in so much debt. EP is coming out on Tuesday at 1pm to meet Christopher so I need to get as much info as possible for then.

And after all summer of him not seeing a therapist and nobody ever bopthering to get back to us, his OT showed up at nursery yesterday... the very day he is off sick.

    Very frustrating.

The only voucher I got from Ikea was a free sofa cover if I bought another sofa cover... Doubtfull seeing as I don't have an Ikea sofa... Oh well... We did use one of those £10 vouchers last time we spent a fortune in there...

Actually, after my decision to get an ikea cot for in our bedroom I found one on eBay just up the road from my aunt for 99p finishing tomorrow... Might give her a ring and see how she feels about a little drive out...

My Aunt bought the girls some teddies over yesterday... A horse and a cat... Aimee got to choose first and she went for the cat... But everytime I turn around she's nicked off with Caitlyn's horse!

susan i dont think im comfortable with that cup thing :undecided x

I've got one and I wouldn't dream of using anything else now although it did take me ages to pluck up the courage!
Benjamin played in his pink monstrosity and watched a couple of sky-plussed episodes of boo ;)

I haven't found our Boo yet, I looked where I thought it would be and it wasn't, will try to have a more comprehensive search next week when Mil's back at school, she says we gave it to her cousin but I don't remember that.

SM do you always use pads? I always just assumed 'everyone' above 16ish used tampons, :o I do hate pads though always make me feel like I'm wearing a nappy
