You're not "just" mummy - mummy is an invaluable person who does this and this and that.

I think it's got a lot to do with the fact that after I had DS2 I was told not to have any more, even though I secretly wanted 3. So I went and mourned the third child I wouldn't have and did the baby bit with him knowing it would be my last. Then he grew up a bit and I started college and we opened the first shop so life had moved on from babies. Then suddenly I was pregnant and after the drama at the beginning all I could concentrate on was being super duper positive because everyone else was being negative. Now she is here and everything went well it's a bit of a shock! But then I always panic after the event :rotfl:

Eurgh, DH is out there talking to a ned!!! *runs off with a brush to move him away from the ned!*

We live in a cul-de-sac of bungalows so it's mostly elderly people down here. With the way that particular couple park, they are blocking the way for any ambulance or fire engine to get down to the houses at the bottom - and obviously to their own house too, although they don't seem to have thought about that one!

The biggest "spare" space to park is outside our house but we squeeze both our cars on the drive. If for any reason someone else is parked out the front, PITA neighbour shoots dagger looks at the car because she can't park there so parks further down the street, despite it being further away from her house  When I've parked there (when the builder was on our drive), I got my car keyed and a few months ago "someone" put a screwdriver through the wheels of a neighbours van and left a note saying "Don't park here, it's MY space" - well the note wasn't from us or our adjoining neighbour, who have the best claim to the space (although sadly you can't claim street space!) so we all know it was the PITA one!

OH is back. Found out a few more interesting tales from a few years back so we have a few more avenues to try now..

Lol SM, Aimee told me the other day that she wishes she was a baby like Caitlyn so she didn't have to do anything... I was only asking her to take 3 toys upstairs...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Elle - is it true that if you are blocking the way of an emergency vehicle, your insurance won't pay out for damage caused by getting past?

Oh my lord. I would be parking there all the time just to pee them off. Hubby would go beserk!

Managed to get a load of ironing done whilst Benjamin played in his pink monstrosity and watched a couple of sky-plussed episodes of boo ;)

He is asleep again now so I am back to quietly sat at the lappy for half an hour or so  what a hard life I lead!!

Looks like summer is finally over... It's lashing it down here, thunder and everything... Oh well... At least it keeps the foul mouthed kids next door in...

I've just had to do some ironing... My bedroom looks like a chinese laundry and neither of the girls had much to wear... Still got a stack to do, I have nothing to wear and hubby is down to about 40 t-shirts in his drawers... Also have 2 ikea blue bags full of clothes to sort through, some of it's Caitlyn's next couple of sizes to grow into but most of it is the stuff Aimee's just grown out of... I'm going to pick out the things I like the most then pass the rest on, don't really want it all hanging around 5 years for Caitlyn to grow into, and I'm sure she'll be getting pass me downs from someone else by then anyway (most of Aimee's clothes are pass me downs or my Mum's bought them in the sale for £1 anyway)

    Skuppered... The beast awakes...

Unfortunately we haven't got a table atm. Got rid of the old one but have picked the new one and are going to Ikea, minus Rhys, to collect it in a few weeks. Must be before 20th Sept as I've got a £10 off (wys £60) voucher valid until then!

Were you also sent a voucher for a free bowl? I went yesterday to buy a tv cabinet to take advantage of the £10 off coupon, collected my free bowl priced at £5.99 and that coupon scanned at £9.99! :T

    xx
  • Elle - AFAIK, if there is a car blocking the way of a fire engine they will just barge it out of the way! Not sure it would work with police/ambulances though. Is it worth speaking to CAB or someone (maybe collectively with neighbours) to see what your options are? Or maybe see if the councill will put double yellows allong the entrance to the road so there is space to get in?
