  • Morning all. I'm happy to report that I got enough sleep last night. Not unbroken, but when she did wake up it wasn't for long, and when she woke up at 6 I managed to get her back off again :)

Thanks for the advice on the choccies everyone ;)

and she did a running commentary on the game:

    awwww ball gone out now
    go pick it up man
that's it, now throw it back in again
    There he goes - wheeeeeeee
    now kick it over there

That is everso cute. My nephew used to do that. We would also have to commentate on imaginary football matches, which was quite hard as even at the age of 5 or 6 he still knew more about football than me! yesterday he was examining rocks, and telling us about them/valuing them in the style of antiques roadshow :rotfl:.

Oh, does anyone else have a baby who tries to express by hand themselves? Izzy is doing it a lot lately - I think maybe she is trying to work out how it works?

    Morning all..

Running on empty today and so mad with OH  He slept with Rhys 7-12 last night on the sofa.. all good for the pair of them, but I refuse to go very far when he does it in case Rhys slips or something so I didn't get the relaxing bath I was looking forward to until 1am, by which time Rhys was wide awake and wanting to play again. I'd gotten him ready for bed and prepped his bottle, then woke OH up again and told him to give Rhys his bottle quietly and then get him into bed. Got out the bath to find them both in the comp room, Rhys wide-eyed watching comp games! Told him the rest of the night was down to him as I'd been awake for 20+ hours and was going to bed. Apparently they stayed awake all night, only sleeping again at 6am  Now I have a very sleepy baby who's been dozing on my shoulder for several hours and who will probably want to start the whole cycle again tonight at 7pm, right when OH wants to sleep and I'm shattered too :( Not impressed.. not impressed one bit..

Anyway, Mum's looking after Rhys for me later whilst I go to the dentist (up three flights of stairs with no lift) and go into town to sort new bank accounts. Might have my hair cut later too as I'm fed up of looking a mess.

It was me, passed on by AM, but then I realised after Mel had posted an 0800 number too. AM's was a 020 number.. Not sure which is the cheaper - 0800 is free, isn't it?

Aieee Elle, that's really awful  sounds like you need to start enforcing some rigour and sensible time-lines to Rhys AND OH's days... here's hoping Rhys is confused enough to not stick to the same times tonight!

0800 numbers are free from BT landlines. 020 I think are cheaper from mobiles?

    thanks elle! :)

if anyone else was prompted to do this after our discussion last week, I rang 028 9053 8192 and said that when I'd submitted my income figures I hadn't been aware of the protected £100 per week of SMP. The chap was great and is recalculating and backdating my claim.

    HTH someone!

There is no way I'm going to try and catch up on the 8 pages since last night I'm afraid :(
Alexandra is still refusing to sleep through the night - really annoying as she was doing it beautifully just over a week ago  Last night it was 3:30 again and it was because she was hungry (as it has been since she started this...) - she gets a HUGE feed before bedtime - as in if we tried to get any more in her it would squirt out her ears!
Think we'll have to make a trip to nearby biggish town... I need muffin trays and eggs and possibly a McDs to make me feel better lol
vaguely annoyed - intenet connection keeps dropping at the moment and my phone line dropped this morning too so have the engineers working on fixing it (the advantages to working for your ISP LOL - if you need stuff doing you just bribe them with muffins or cakes).
Also ought to go get Alexandra weighed but not sure I can be bothered :( Because I'm not getting enough sleep then everything seems so much bother :(

  • Protected SMP???? Must go find the relevant bit on here and make sure I'm not missing out either. I need to call them anyway to confirm our earnings for last year and let them know what I will be earning this year, not that it will make much difference I think.

  • I give up- Weezle what do I need to know (or where did you find the info... it is hiding from me at the mo!).

This baby is making the most of her newly expanded ability to crawl by getting into EVERYTHING. I have had to empty the waste paper baskes as she keeps doing it for me and spreading everything over the floor again - I think I will have to mount them on the walls!
