she does have a few sleeping bags, i dont use them every night.

Benjamin sleeps terribly if he doesn't go in a sleeping bag....he just doesn't get the cue that it is time for a big sleep, no matter how tired he is. I think that doing the same thing every night is key to a routine...not necessarily what you do, just that you always do roughly the same IYSWIM.

have just found out that two local libaries have a baby rhyme session during the first week of each month.

i know there is another one that is on weekly, but i think that's finished at the moment for the summer.

i am going to look at going to them becuase LO seems to enjoy music

What's wrong with this sentence ;):D

We had MIL here this afternoon, she was annoying me too. result was the two older ones ended up scoffing down a double decker and a twisted creme egg BEFORE dinner and after dinner I let them have their fab.....she them went and got them an ice-cream from the van when it came round:eek:
The little monkey ended up barely having any of his bottle before bed, and has been screaming on and off from 9pm till 10 when I ealised he might be hungry, so brought him down and he gobbled a 9oz'er!

Bad thing is I didn't even realise he was crying because I forgot to bring the monitor down, I only found out when I heard footsteps....DS1 had gone in his room to find him his dummy to 'shut him up'

I get on with my MIL most of the time and she is great to me and with Benjamin but she (and my mother is exactly the same) doesn't seem to understand that ultimately Benjamin is most soothed by his mummy and daddy...why on earth would anyone think that taking a tired baby in a strange situation away from his mother would calm him down???

    Rant over :D

My mum summed it up the other day when Leila wanted a cuddle from me. She said 'i'm so jealous that she wants just you'. I think it is hard for her to see me as a mummy and for her not to be the only one thats needed anymore.

My Dad's girlfriend on the other hand forcefully grabs Leila from me whenever she visits. I think she's just greedy:D
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j

:eek:My mum said a very similar thing to me after I had my first, in the form of.....'I can't believe he's your baby, not mine'

In answer to your earlier question - only 3 1/2 oz tonight :(

Will keep going for now but there is no way I am going to depress myself over a decreasing supply. Might try fenugreek for a week or two though

My mum said something a bit similar - Benjamin was crying whilst she was holding him, I took him off her and he quietened and she said ' don't you dare do that mister...stop crying when somebody else picks you up'

I said something along the lines of 'Somebody else  - I AM HIS MOTHER'

I think you are right though, they want to be the one who the baby wants to go to...and to be fair, in a couple of years it may well be that way :rotfl:
