Evening ladies - I'm not normally still awake at this time of night, but Caitlyn is asleep in the moses basket downstairs so I'm enjoying some free time before I have to move her :)

Well DH has managed to really pi55 me off today. We had a disagreement yesterday, so that's put me in a bad mood with him anyway. Then today he got back from work, I put Caitlyn on her playgym while I went to sort some stuff in the kitchen. She started crying and all he could say was 'Daddy can't pick you up cause he's got mucky hands,' so I came in, got her and said 'no and daddy doesn't know where the bl00dy tap is either!'. Then she wouldn't settle at teatime so I was rocking her, walking with her and shushing her whilst he was on [STRIKE]the[/STRIKE] MY laptop.

Sorry for the rant! Will go off and catch up now!

singing is the only thing that lets me get erin dressed AF lol! and not sure about the feet thing but my lot hate anything on their feet,as soon as they get in the shoes and socks have to come off! im the same though and walk barefoot everywhere!

i seem to forget to sing to her when i dress her, although i really need to learn more songs. i always seem to go blank when it comes to singing to her.

she hates shoes on her feet as she just kicks and kicks until she gets them off. she is okay with socks. if i didn't put socks on her, her feet just get so wet.

sami - i thought of your Chris in TKMaxx the other day as they have some wooden (but felt soft/felt like) blocks with peppa pig and numbers on them.
ooh I'm desperate to get into town (where we have a tk maxx) but I refuse to go during school hols, I hate other peoples badly behaved brats getting in my way and swearing round my kids :p - speaking of which I was in tesco t'other day and a couple where having a domestic while walking the baby aisles they were effing n jeffing away infront of not just their own child but my 2 boys and another 2 or 3 children that were about  you might not care what ur kids say but have some respect for those of us with parroting toddlers that were trying to bring up properly

oh i have been meaning to ask as well ... any advice re changing bubs after a bath as mine gets sooooo stressy because i am not dressing her quick enough (well quick enough to get her hands back in her mouth at the minute)???

also ... does anyone have experience with bubs having wet feet (not sweaty) even when it isn't hot??? not asking for medical advice, just experience? i'm going to ask the HV about it
Ed will only remain calm while the hair dryer is on
He also has sweaty wet feet even when they feel cold, he's weird :p

where are you mfd? I'm just outside Manchester. Had a look and Ramadan has just started. Wonder if it's to do with that? I couldn't fast to save my life - like my food too much.
I think they are only allowed to have fun after sundown and sometimes that involves fireworks

I'm just outside Wolverhampton so ramadan makes sense!!

AF - we do 'hidey boo' (or peepo if you prefer) to get his vest on...the let him stand up (which always makes him smile!!) for 30 seconds or so, quick cuddle then back down for next layer...and repeat!!!
Does baby girl have a sleeping bag?

I make up tons of crappy songs all day every day!! Current fave for mummy is 'I like to squeeze him, squeeze him' to the tune of I like to move it move it :D I do it with actions and it means I get lots of cuddles ;):D

Do you have a local baby bop or rhyme time class?

When I sing to Caitlyn I usually end up getting the tune right but making up my own completely different set of words! She's calm when the hairdryer's on too - she loves to cry her eyes out whilst I'm getting dressed  The hoover is good for shutting her up too :D

    Everyone needs a Foam fairy!

The foam fairy is a grotesque large wall decor item as purchased by my mother and stuck to the wall by the nappy changer. Leila absolutely loves it and spends nappy changes and clothes changes laughing and poking it. She has instinctively turned towards it right from day one and I now havent the heart to take it off the wall.

I have found similar ones on ebay (but nothing as horrible as the fairy) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Snail-Foam-Wall-Sticker-wall-stickers_W0QQitemZ220441680508QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Toys_Games_TV_Film_Character_Toys_ET?hash=item3353591a7c&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

So I might just get a few more and would highly recommend them!!!!
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j
