We have been to a nice cafe for brunch, then I made the second half of daddy and baby rhyme time at the local library; home for Elijah's nap and I had a doze too, then back out to visit our local privately run play area thing to see if it's any good for the price (http://www.itsakidsthing.co.uk/ - quite good I think for slightly older kids, nice having parent cafe right there, the under-2s play area was fine but not worth four quid entry fee, given various council-run free places also within walking distance).
Had good fun with Elijah in padded climbing area and ball pit, then back home and OH having a lie-down while i play music to the baby and wait for the Ocado delivery before deciding what to cook.

Weekends seem so busy now! We have a lovely hammock in the garden, I dream of lying in it with a book and a cold drink on summer weekends, but somehow I never seem to find the spare time...

what are Super Berries and why are they not ripe? :)

Right, just phoned the doctors surgery and told them I want the implanon implant out, they tried to fob me off again saying I have to speak to someone about it 1st, TOUGH, I've done that so many times before, It's just a waste of my time and theirs, so she is phoning me back with an appointment as only 2 doctors there can remove it, and I also have to see the nurse at the same time? Why?

The reason I want it out is -

    Acne
    Leaking boobs
    Constant bleeding

And this may sound irrational but I seriously think it has made my hair go thinner! I got this implant in exactly 1 year ago, and before that my hair was thinner than before I had DD but you couldn't see my scalp (I just looked at pics) now you can see my scalp, esp near the crown off my head, and the only thing that has happened since then is getting THAT BLEEMING THING! I've dieted since then but all thats done is made me have a HEALTHIER diet so.....

Yep, I think it's that thing, I love having long hair but it just looks pap right now, scraggly and thin......I'm going ot the hair dressers next week for a trim and my fringe sorted, I won't get much length off, as I wanna see if my hair improves once it is out...

Sorry to hear about your dog tia, It's the best thing though if it's went for your child. Hugs

I had major problems when i had the implant fitted, i actually told the nurse on the phone-if someone doesn't get this thing out of me i WILL get a knife and cut it out myself! I reckon that scared them slightly and got me in the next day to get it taken out lol :o

So tell them to get you in asap and get it out!

What is everyone up to? Its so quiet!

I'm waiting for Super Berries to ripen, and watching a cheesy film about a woman who pretend to be an alcoholic because she is lonely!

Toby zonked out on sofa next to me, he sleepy again today. He doesn't sleep that well when it is hot, so as it is a bit cooler today, he is catching up.
    Hurrah for super berries :j

They have me booked in for the 9th have the implant removed, they offered me the 1st of September at 1:30 - that's not good, got DD's first day of nursery then! Can't believe they gave me a 9:30am app though, don't they know me? So maybe go into town after that with DD as really don't see the point in going home after that only to head back out not long after to drop her off at nursery (it's in the same area)

What side effects did you get Keely? Did you get thinning hair? My doctor told me thats rubbish, he also said my leaking boobs isnt anything to do with it.....yeah okay I just started leaking colostrum 2 weeks after getting the implant and it's not connected....GOOD ONE!

I just got back from the hairdressers, on a good note she said my scalp isn't showing as badly, and there is new growth, so that's good but it's not a drastic amount, looks better though, isn't as long as that was making it look pulled down and worse.

DD just got a major bollocking, she slipped OH's hand on the way back and ran towards the edge of the pavement, I had loads of bags in my hands, and I saw a car coming in and I mean I SCREAMED at her to stop, she got such a scare with my voice she did, thankfully, that car came in at some speed which he shouldn't off, it was in the entrance to the cul de sac area of the buildings, !!!! in his sportscar.....

She ended up having a tantrum because she got in trouble, i tried to explain to her why I shouted, i think she maybe feels bad and is lashing out? She's calmed down now anyways but my heart is still in my throat and OH clearly is a moron for not holding onto her properly. Don't understand why she did that though, she's never done it before and knows road safety - red man stop - green man go - look for cars etc.

Yup, no hands and everything! Trust me I'm as surprised as anyone, I was expecting her to finally get around to it at 2 or something but she decided to have a crack at it a bit early! She did however pnly learn to roll from back to front at ten months three weeks and she hardly sleeps at night, oh and she can't really drink from a cup, she's sussed getting the water in but then either tries to chew it or dribbles it out! So it's swings and roundabouts.

I ought to give Little Miss Grumpy Trousers her tea now really before she starts shouting!

My hair is fine anyway, so can't comment on that. I had constant bleeding, terrible period pains, bad moods (i felt so evil, it just wasn't me-so angry all the time for no reason!) and this effected my sex life and even put me off taking elliot swimming because of the pain etc. I just felt terrible! :o
