Sorry to hear that Tia. You have to do what is right for you. Have you looked at why you are having problems? If you want to continue with BF'ing, it might be worth it?

  • Oh Tia, poor you :( I don't know what to suggest, but take care of yourself.

I'm also busy harvesting strawberries today :rotfl:. And sorting out bank spreadsheet, seeing as the joint account card wouldn't work when I tried to use it this morning . (Luckily I don't quite have money in my own account, but I get paid on Wednesday, and don't mind going £50 or so into my overdraft for what I need to spend today and tomorrow... just means I can't spend any on me in September!)

And there is always the washing up to do if I get bored ;).

Tia ((((((((hugs))))))))))) - never had mastitis sounds awful. Hope the antib's work quickly - don't forget to stop the feeding gradually as it might make the mastitis worse.

Been to Chester - all done in 2 hours - the incentive was that the races are on today and I don't like shopping when it's busy, I become invisible as I have a pushchair and people get in my way lots.

DD now has lots of gorgeous clothes for our holidays including a dress from Ethel Austins reduced to £2.50!!

I even bought stuff for myself! (very rare event these days)

DH is not a happy bunny he's trying to change the air filter on his motorbike and one of the screws is badly damaged so can't get it out - he's getting very frustrated.

    MDW

Driving - I did an early drive course at a local racetrack when I was 16 passed within 6 months of my 17th birthday but still don't like reversing or reversing into a parking space.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

Hugs from me too Tia...Just do what feels right, maybe you could combine feed and then once the mastitis is gone go back to breastfeeding? I don't have any experiences to give you as I never bf any of mine.

MDW - I am not a fan of Chester really. I worked in Next in Chester for a short while, weirdest layout stockrooms I have ever, ever come across.....like rat-runs and caves:eek: Sounds like you got some bargains though.

However, not only did she flip herself from back to front during Changing Table Rage just now, she managed to wedge a foot in such a way as to get some forward movement. Why does my two week old daughter have the strength and determination of ten babies? I'm going to have to duct tape her to the table when she's a bit bigger. It's like trying to change the nappy of a box of octupuses.

Tia, best way to get rid of mastitis is keep feeding from the infected side, you need to unblock the ducts and get the milk through and Amber is the best person for the job!!! Google bfn mastitis info ( on the iPod, can't do links) and the PDF of the breastfeeding and mastitis leaflet should come up... It's the best information on how to get rid of it. You don't have to give up if you don't want to!
