Kathy....congrats to you and your family:j:j:beer::beer:
Ive been feeling pretty wiped out today. The muscles in my right leg keep going into spasms and it hurts like hell. Have taken some tablets but not working..will chat with the nurse in the morning if still playing up.
DD had a great time away but was very tired after 3 nights away probably chatting all night:rolleyes:
Pup had final jabs and was chipped today. Apparently he whined like a baby...typical bloke;)
We are having HG carrots, swede and cabbage for dinner with Toad In Hole. DD asked for that rather than sausage cassarole, so it was simple to change. Gonna mash the carrot and swede together and hopefully there will be enough left over for some tomorrow maybe in a bubble and squeak for lunch with ham and eggOH also got another cabbage out for coleslaw to be made and put in the fridge. Its our new shopping budget from today for next 4 weeks and am hoping enough left over to put towards buying DD a metal bed base. Not sure how much they are? The ones at Laura Ashley are £500+, but cant afford that:eek::eek::eek::eek:
I have done my next 4 weeks (28 day) mealplan, just with things off the top of my head. DD has offered to do a freezer inventory for me this week and I reckon I have about another 6-8 weeks food in there:o One meal each week is usually FREE which is just stuff we have in, like egg and saute spuds etc.
My Abel & Cole first order is arriving in the morning and I have added 12 litres of milk as it can be frozen and on special atm on 3 for 2, so £1.98 for 3 litres which I thought was good for organic milk. Also got a walnut and olive loaf to go with the soup. All in all it came to £32 now which is great and about 13+ meals plus milk, bread etc.
Anyway, I am rambling.
Hugs to all.

Good evening everyone,
Kathy - Congrats on the new baby granddaughter. Good thoughts and wishes for the whole family. Enjoy spending time with them all.
I've been keeping busy around here. Did a bit of bulk cooking and froze some last week. Went to Sainsbury's yesterday and got some lovely pork mince reduced. I was going to put together a couple of pork/beef meatloaves for the freezer. DH would like me to make some square sausage instead. I'll decide after dinner tonight which will be hamburgers, chips and brussel sprouts.
We're babysitting the 3 fur granddaughters here. So last night was interesting with 4 of them plus me and DH in the bed. LOL Actually they all did very well and just squished me. DH got a good night's sleep
We went to the park earlier today for a good romp and run. They all came back and took a good nap. DH has just walked in the door and been attacked by the mob. Guess I'd best go rescue him.
((((((((((Gentle hugs)))))))))))) to all in need or whoever wants some.

Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

Hello everyone
Just a quickie to say CONGRATULATIONS to Kathy on the safe arrival of her new granddaughter. How lovely!!
Hilstep, hope you get over the shingles asap.
I've been very very bad regarding old styling lately, I won't bother you with the details, suffice to say that I am not even bothering to go on guilt trips about it. I'm still not working so it's not a time issue... just can't be bothered... awful isn't it....
Otherwise I hope all is well with everyone

Hilstep, Sorry to hear you've got Shingles. I've just had it and it's not very nice, I still haven't completely recovered and I've had it for 5 weeks. Ask your Dr about the plasters for the pain. Apparantly they are expensive but they helped me a lot.
Look after yourself, I'll be thinking of you scratching!0 -

Lillibet - I am about 40 mins from clacton - live in the maldon district. It really is terrible about that little girl, they have found the body now. Must admit I never let them out of my sight on the beach. DS was with his grandparents at Walton yesterday and watched 2 girls on a lilo swept out quite quickly - luckily the Dad was able to get to them in time.
Have just been watching the news - apparantly we shouldnt put ham in kids packed lunches as its processed food, they then showed a plate of things to use instead & processed cheese was on thereThings like this drive me mad anyway have switched it off and come on here
Had a nice afternoon at the beach though DS was rather arguementative he needs an early night tonight - so do I was planning to watch Sky+'d Jam and Jerusulam (sp) till I realised it hadnt recorded so iplayer here I come again.x0
