I will try and clear some space in a becoming more frenetic by the minute diary to visit Auntie Wol. I have been invited to Alicante for a week - it will be my first holiday since January if I decide to go (would fly out at 6.30am on 12 Oct and return on 17 Oct), of course it is dependant on whether or not I can get my appointment brought forward to next week.

The remaining leaflets have been taken to the Pear Tree where they are going to be put in the bridal goodie bags for this weekend's fair - I may well exhibit there next year. I am off to a BNI breakfast meeting tomorrow although I can't help feeling like a prize turkey and as though I am being conned.

    Phones ringing back laters xx

Hi Horace...not to worry too much....just make sure you sort fings to get that holiday in first gal ;):j

As for me, I'm now booked up for the whole of October.including weekends :eek:.....(normally diary is two weeks booked but atm it's four weeks :D) ..however I'd love us to fix a date in November .....and you never know....we might be able to organise a few additional house party guests of the monkey, hula hoop and certain other varieties ;):D

Hmm re breakfast meeing...(a) will the food be good?...(b)is it costing you anything apart from time?...(c) will you get any customers?

..if the answer to (a) is no...think about it.
.........if the answer to (b) is no..weigh up the expense against (c)..
..but if the answer to (c) is no...DON:T GO!!! Simples :D:D

Hope the Pear Tree ads come up trumps :beer:

    Well actually ...not quite all..

....for all his avid followers (including me)..Studentphil has been "at it again" on the Arms :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:..this last thread a bit more successful and long running than previous........see if you can work out how many identities he has.....and remember that (hopefully) it's most probably a wind up.....and that most of the regular posters are now colluding with that ;) .......Great entertainment :T:T

And please do go back and read the "cushion" thread from a couple of years ago..it's a complete scream

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=459512&highlight=cushion+phil

OK OK...it's not as good as Zinc Oxide's thread..:T:T...but enjoy...and please don;t take it seriously ;)

    Me and my big mouth..

Sorry Lula and Numpty,..Pebble guinea has had a sudden and completely unexepcted collapse this evening and is very sick. _pale_. I am not hopeful. No outward signs anything was wrong earlier this evening...no temperature and he coat is very glossy :confused: but now she won;t take liquids by syringe, is almost catatonic  and if I force feed it is too distressing as she keeps choking......I am waitiing for emergency vet to ring me back.

Back from vets £140 lighter :eek::eek::eek::eek:..but at least Pebble has been given every chance....more antibio inhections plus anti-inflamms, oxygen and most importantly, i.p. fluids to re-hydrate her.

Vet can't find anything obvious apart from slightly hypothermic, thin/dramatic weight loss and tendancy to keel over:confused::confused: No lumps/bumps/inflammation.....

So.......either a slow-burning internal infection from the op (like Bandit only much worse) ......or possibly a stroke....although could it also be shock from noise of smoke alarm?? (latter unlikely because of associated weght loss??)

She is still clearly distressed, can;t stand being moved, fed or handled and won;t stay on the hot water bottle (vet said to provide heat to keep her warm). I have made her as comfortable as possible in a box, and she will be in my bedroom tonight........there is nothing more I can do....except wish I;d spotted the sudden weight loss sooner....:(

Hopefully she will last the night and I will have good news tomorrow. At the very least, she MUST take fluids tomorrow otherwise I will have to make a decision :(

If you can spot a few dozen grammes in weightloss by eye, then you have a outstanding career as a drug-dealer ahead of you.

You have done all you can, and much more than most. :grouphug:
