    All drama at yours then Wol..and you let some men in uniform get away too:eek:

    I know...I'm terribly sorry Horace...I do feel I;ve rather let all the girlies down :o

    No bridezillas at the show - just a bunch of chavs.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    I need to contact the various peeps who won prizes, I was very careful and listened to peeps and now the first prize has been awarded to a lovely couple (extremely well spoken) who have booked Grafton Manor Hotel now to book that place you need to have some money because its not cheap. The show was rubbish and has quite put me off doing another one.

    :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

    Had a good chat and have invitations to view various register offices around worcestershire and the lady the other side of me makes divine cakes - she was handing around samples of chocolate mud cake which was divine and to die for:cool: Networked with a view people and found myself agreeing to attend a breakfast meeting this Friday at 7am:eek: - I am still in bed at 7am:eek: Breakfast will cost me £10 so I shall make sure I have a full english with toast etc which should keep me going til dinner time (very MSE):D

    Actually talking of food - I think I will go and cook some dinner (the whoopsie shelf in Tatco was very productive today:D).

    Hi Horace

    You don;t seem to be having much luck getting contacts with the classier clientele..you;re clearly going great guns networking and making supplier contacts - (with associated freebies :D) and hopefully they will in turn recommend you to potential clients..:cool:

    .but maybe we need to think of some more cunning plans...:think::think:....so question for everyone here:
    Where does one find the bride-to-be either before or just as she is starting to think about her wedding plans? (or her parents for that matter ;)). Suggestions please of places to advertise that catch her right at the start of her journey (or even before she knows she is getting married?)

    Here's my starter for 10 - Up-market hair dressing salons, Riding stables, Croquet clubs......

    ooh......and are you in with New Hall (lovely lovely place).....and The Belfry ;)

    that's really interesting about the cavey trust, so it's only £25 per year regardless of how many you have? if you did make it in this direction you could always stop off here, and let them stretch their little leggies in my garden run so they can have a toilet break.
    i wasn't an upmarket bride but you could have found me in the local area news magazine, on tinternet. you could also try the beauty salon (not that i was found there often) and at local wedding fayres (though they often cast scorn over us larger brides there)

    Well I really am having trouble focusing on getting this backlog of work done...and it didn;t help that I fell asleep again :eek:...this time between 6 and 8pm tonight.

    I ate my main meal at 4pm this afternoon (helps me not go after the wine in the evenings)...and I'm wondering if this almost narcoleptic reaction (I had it before a few years ago when I would end up face down in my dinner :o) seems to be connected with my insulin resistance/pre-diabetic metabolism. Or maybe it's just old age.....after all, I;m not a student anymore :rotfl:

    So having woken up I have made a very strong pot of real coffee (don;t worry Lula....supplies destined for you are still intact ;))...and I am going to push myself to finish one clients work tonight before I go to bed....(i.e. no ironing :cool:)

    Then tomorrow I shall get up early, stay off MSE (:rotfl::eek:) and work through until I finish the next client......followed by the same on wednesday and thursday. Then I will have caught up....and I just know I will feel so much better as I will have time to do other jobs around the house (and sort out my planting scheme :D) that I keep putting off because I am meant to be doing the work.

    It will also keep me off the vino which is going well..:j......apart from a minor transgression on saturday night...:o....by the time the offending vehicle had been fished out of my stream and the unfortunate driver and his mate toddled off to their respective homes at 1am I found that contrary to my original intentions a whole bottle had disappeared :eek:

    Yep ....only £25 per year regardless of the numbers. Only includes the routine stuff though.....other consults are charged....but they are experienced with piggies and I know how difficult it is to find good "exotics" vets........

    I'm loving the idea of Lemon Tree's piggie service station :T:rotfl:...will let you know if I make any plans to come up your way later this year :cool:

    Thanks for the suggestions......

    ooo that could be a new string to my bow, piggie service station. Don't get me wrong we don't have a huge garden but we do have runs that little ones can stretch their legs in. I do feel that i should also let you know i have a beautiful grey dwarf lop bunny who is feeling left out of the conversations, he's called Douglas and gets on well with piggies when they share the run. we also have two cats but they won't harm piggies as they are cowards and are too afraid to go anywhere near them, just watch them from a distance and wriggle backwards whenever there's any squeeking going on.

    Z - mothercare isnt the place to advertise...in fact places where men go might be a good idea:rotfl:

    I now have my posh leaflets detailing weddings and corporate events in the posh day spa - lots of farmers wives, consultants etc are members:cool: I already advertise in Your West Midlands Wedding Magazine (rather posh). My business cards are everywhere. New Hall and the Belfry are a bit far..and I have found some even more upmarket places than them - I am angling for an appointment (waiting for a call back) to view Red House Barn which is an exclusive use venue that only got its licence on Saturday (the local registrars are already fighting amongst themselves as to who should officiate there). In fact register offices maybe the places to have my cards.

    Oh and I have formed at strategic alliance with an av hire company to organise the events that they provide equipment and entertainers for as they are always being asked and until now had no idea where to start.

    Maybe I should do away with weddings altogether?:confused: More trouble than they're worth:rolleyes: I refuse point blank to deal with chavs - I want to tap into the money so will be looking for the pink pound too:D

    Styptic pens - yes men use them when they cut themselves shaving instead of sticking toilet paper on their faces:rotfl: Although it seems pretty careless to cut yourself shaving if you ask me:rolleyes:
