Hi Wol, been a while since i posted, but i always pop in to see how you're doing.
Hope you manage to trounce the insurance company.
I hate it when they just turn around and say you're not covered for this or that.
Any yup, another validation from me too.
You may think that when you post on here to update what's been happening is just a release, but when others read how you are battling through everything that's getting thrown at you, you are a great example of courage and a source of inspiration.
Really appreciate your vote of support - thank you George :kisses3:
Not to mention that your thread is one of the smuttiest going...
We aim to please :whistle::whistle::whistle:
How's you Hun - see from your diary that work is going well and hope you get rewarded soon

You are kidding about that weather forecast aren't you???
If not that's unthinkable snow ateaster whatever next.....
Hope everything is ok in Wol land and you are not working too hard.
Am getting excited about the rave..can't wait to meet you all...
I remember that we've had snow down here in late April before now Taxi and also some really cold snaps where temperature has gone down to minus 4 ......It;s why I never put the piggies outside until end of May.
(I did have some seed sowing and shrub planting planned for this weekend - will have to do in pots and keep indoors for a few more weeks methinks - although if Z's plague of locusts is due then maybe its not worth putting anything leafy outside yet :rotfl::rotfl:.......although knowing my luck there'll be a plague of slugs when the weather warms up)
Client meetings tomorrow and monday; finish writing up/invoicing monday afternoon and then hopefully all done for Easter :j:j.
Me too - I'm getting excited about the Rave - just got a few more people to send invites to....(including the top totty). It;s going to be great - just hope the weather is fine that weekend otherwise it;ll be a bit of a squish trying to hold a BBQ in Piggie palace for 30+ people
...but I'm sure we will manage

So pleased that you'll get a break at Easter as you deserve the rest after working so hard.
I guess I can't imagine snow anywhere at Easter as we very very rarely ever have snow here let alone at Easter.
Hope piggies are ok.
Everything will be fantastic with the rave no matter what.We are MSER's and can tackle anything..lol...we is a tough bunch..lol
Have a good day xxx0 -
Yep, definitely looking forward to the Rave! But I can't believe that weather forecast, nooooooooooooooooo!
Whatever it is tho, Wol, you need that break. I'm taking off 3 days next week, so plus the bank holidays I've got a bit of time off, but today and Monday are *really* heavy days, plus a fair bit of househunting and two mystery shops - doesn't quite feel like a holiday yet! Still, I have some vouchers for cinema tickets, I'll make sure I treat myself... and there's a mini-rave too...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Aaargh!!
Just got back from an extraordinary defensive/agressive/confrontational client-from-hell meeting. _pale_
I thought my advice was being sought -but I wasn;t allowed to "do the job". First they railroaded the meeting by asking loads of questions that kept taking us off on tangents and completely destroyed the "iterative process" Fair enough - they are new to setting up a small business, need to raise a lot of finance, and I am the first person they have met who has both the sector and finance experience they need (and the contacts). In fact, their own business adviser apparently requested me specifically rather than anyone else to conduct the meeting
But when I responded to their questions, one of them challenged everything i said in a very agressive and confrontational manner and in the process demonstrated they clearly had no idea about life outside the protection of a big corporate. :eek:
It's the first time ever I have really seriously contemplated terminating the meeting with "well you clearly don't feel you need or even want to listen to my advice/experience so i suggest we stop wasting each others time" and walking away. (At first I was making excuses and putting it down to a personaility clash or that I might have in some way caused her behaviour)- but then I realised this person was being as obnoxious as "a certain member of my family" -
Wol gives herself 100 lines to do
"I am NOT responsible for said client's behaviour and she WAS out of order"
So instead of writing up the meeting this afternoon, I am gong to chill out with the rest of the ironing (only another 4 baskets to go) , a good DVD and a nice glass of wine....I did this on wednesday and had a throughly good day off, getting through half the ironing pile and 3 episodes of Lewis courtesy of Sky+ (and I'm now madly in swoon with Laurence Fox - a.k.a. Sgt Hathway :T:T
It means I will be working one day this weekend but as the monday meeting client hasn;t sent through the documentation yet for me to prepare (was meant to have arrived yesterday so I could do it today :mad:) - seems like a good plan.
Roll on Tuesday ....no clients for at least two weeks :T:T:j:j

:rotfl::rotfl:Yep we sure are Taxi - not really worried - just hope as many people as poss can make it down as it will be great for everyone to meet face to face in a pictureseque and relaxing situation where the food and drink are free and won;t dry up at a certain time, the customer service will be ace and you don;t have to shout to be heard (ie NOT a Weatherspoon pub - NB Cheesie chips are NOT on the menu :rotfl::rotfl:)
Course we "might" have other things to worry about:- potential flooding and [STRIKE]running out of Wellie boots[/STRIKE] not enough top totty firemen turning up to rescue us
; (or for the boys - the very nice WPC duty officer
)
- piggies mistakenly being put on the BBQ by drunken revellers _pale_;
- fighting off my next door neighbour looking for a snog
...don;t worry, he hasn;t tried tongues yet
.....
- oh and getting weed upon by Denis the rotty next door if we get too close to the fence :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you have a good weekend Hun and aren;t too mucked around by losing the extra hour (of potential income) on saturday night/sunday morning

Hmmmm,........KC I am afraid I'm going to wag Z's finger at you a teensy bit :rotfl::rotfl:-
Viewing property !!!!!! should be an enjoyable "vacation" experience rather than a chore/work/stress - especially if you intend to invest your life savings and live in one of said !!!!!! stars. Otherwise there could be bad vibes when you look at them if under stress
Hopefully you won;t find the "househunting" too draining :cool:- but if you start t, then I would suggest that we have a conflab on Bank Holiday Monday and work out a more relaxing schedule for you(which might involve a chauffeur on nominated days
)
As for the mini-Rave on BHMonday - well it seems to me that we need to identify somewhere that is resistant to snow/flood/famine/pestilence/heat (Z is obviously giving us a lot of options here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).....
No worries - a good time should be had by all :T We'll have a conflab on the tellingbone this weekend Hun
Take care - remember to put the clocks forward at 1am sunday morning

Wol - you are too kind for your own good..I would have terminated the meeting there and then, if they are so brilliant at setting up a business why do they need your help? Let them get on with it and make yourself unavailable when they call again.
Had a bad day yesterday which resulted in me losing my temper to the point where I contacted the Area Leader to make my feelings known and saying that I am considering withdrawing my services as Marketing Assistant for my networking group because I felt as though my opinions don't count for anything especially as I had said that handing over half the money raised by the charity auction to the cause (poor girl passed on before her holiday) was just not on..thieves..that's what they are:mad: I am still incensed today.
Was extremely unwell last night and rang the docs again today and managed to get an emergency 5 min appointment this morning (5 mins turned into 15) and have been diagnosed with a bacterial lung infection and now have some antibiotics which cannot be taken with milk, iron , zinc or indigestion remedies:eek: I am under instruction to go back if the infection doesnt clear up. Thankfully, Monday's appointment with the medical student and the video camera has been cancelled:j
On a good note - I get my new glasses on 7 April, I cannot believe that the eye hospital only received them today when they have been at the factory since the end of Feb:mad: (when I say new - I mean old because they are old frames and I am having a new right lens). Oh to be able to see again:D
As for plagues and pestilence - Z needs to stop reading almanacs and start looking out of the window to see what is going on.0
