Hello Wol, hope you are well. Sorry to hear about your awful meeting yesterday, obviously that person has severe personality problems which means she? has to try and go self-employed because no civilised human being will work with her.... what a pity we can't legislate against stupidity.......

Horace, sorry you are still under the weather. Unfortunately there still seems to be a tendency to prescribe what could be called mild or weak antibiotics first, then stronger ones later. Research has shown this to be inaffective in many cases. By hitting bugs with the big guns first you wipe them out, full stop, no messing. Weaker antibiotics kill weaker bugs but the stronger ones survive and then you have to go on to the stronger stuff; in the meantime you feel just as lousy, if not worse. That is where antibiotic resistance has come from. And the reason so many antibiotics give you the galloping trots is because they also kill your own home made bacteria in your gut, leaving you susceptible to all sorts of nasties. Anyway, l also have a bombsite of a kitchen to sort out, so must not tarry......have a good day one and all.

I am not going to ask my gp about other antibiotics - I dare not try any more due to the one shot willy nature that I have. Trust me to be the awkward one (insert rolleyes smilie). The sun is out so go into the garden and chill. I shall be nipping downstairs with a bin bag in a while when I can summon up the enthusiasm to sort the kitchen bin out which is overflowing..sigh. I need to tidy up in there as it looks as though a bomb has hit it and I need plates and have space to make a beef paste sandwich (I am addicted to shippams beef paste at the mo).

Best crack on I s'pose and I need to make plans for Easter - need to remove the old compost from my window boxes (hide it in black bags and put in bin:eek:) put in new compost and plant seeds, sort out the wine box and line it with another bin liner and use polystyrene chips in the bottom and fill with compost and plant seeds, empty old pots in small greenhouse and dod the same. I am determined to grow more this year.

Wol wipes down keyboard after having visions of Horace with an appendage on her head walking into GP surgery :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Fair do's H - it's carp you;re allergic so I really hope the Cipro does the trick.

Just had one of those rainbursts here but I too am getting ready to do some planting - English and French parsely on the window sill for the piggies and a few perenniels to start off indoors prior to planting out. (I am a binliner and polystyrene chips person too ;)).

Hope you have a good weekend Hun

    Yay Nargle

Glad you;re back - gather you;ve been a bit busy recently. Hope the chickies are OK and enjoying the warmer weather.

I have to say I am feeling a tad smug - I have just decluttered and cleaned my kitchen and utility (including the floor ...well, what's left of it....gulp) and am now about to "sort socks" and finish the ironing.....(well finish until the next load of washing is dry anyway :D.)

Still at least I am getting closer to liberating a bed (and even some ironed sheets ) for Numpty to sleep in when he come down next week ....and if he's really really lucky, he may even be able to reach the bed without jumping an assault course of items for ebay :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you;re having a good weekend despite the kitchen ;)

It must be that strange yellow thing in the sky, even my cat was skittish today, pouncing on a bin bag because it was blowing in the breeze. Bad news is we all lose an hour's sleep tonight as the clocks go forward - booger!

i've got to try and hit the garden tomorrow, need to get some seeds in pots, going to grow some herbs on the kitchen window sill should also try and get some seeds in pots to take to the allotment when they're all grown up.
managed to get some washing dry, and cleared the bedroom chairs and floor of all the cloths. What is it with OHs that they can't see clothes which need to be put away and instead of wearing them they get more out of the cupboard?
OH is working tomorrow and i've been invited round my parents for dinner so i'm going to go to the gym on my way there, shock horror. I suspect the people there will die of shock when i turn up.

I took the bin bag out and washed up but that was it..even heated a readymeal in mosky (I know about ready meals but I can't be bothered to cook). Have spent the afternoon on FB playing games and watching the Nat Geo channel..sometimes Virgin let me watch it and sometimes they don't so I will watch it until it is taken away again..they do it to tempt me into paying for a larger tv package..just wish they would let me watch the Crime channel every now and again but that has never re-appeared...sigh

The thought of all the cleaning and polishing, washing and ironing is making me feel tired..

Wol - let Numpty do your ebaying..:D

    Nighty night..

Lemon - I don't think that folks will die because you are setting foot in the gym..I see it as a cunning plan to build up an appetite for your mum's roast:cool:
