I cannot believe the cheek of the persons setting up the business. How awful for you.I too would've called a halt to it..you have the patience of a saint Wol.
Your evening sounds great...Roll on tuesday.0 -
Horace that sounds absolutely awful...no wonder you feel so ill.Hope the antibs work quickly.0
-
Karma..I have to agree with Wol here..looking at houses should be fun and exciting for you.I'm sure it will be when you get into it.0
-
Wol - you are too kind for your own good..I would have terminated the meeting there and then, if they are so brilliant at setting up a business why do they need your help? Let them get on with it and make yourself unavailable when they call again.
Had a bad day yesterday which resulted in me losing my temper to the point where I contacted the Area Leader to make my feelings known and saying that I am considering withdrawing my services as Marketing Assistant for my networking group because I felt as though my opinions don't count for anything especially as I had said that handing over half the money raised by the charity auction to the cause (poor girl passed on before her holiday) was just not on..thieves..that's what they are:mad: I am still incensed today.
.Hmmm...sounds similar to why I resigned from uknowwho...I do so know what you mean H - and you are right to get incensed......it's truly [STRIKE]flabbergasting[/STRIKE] earthshatteringly frightening  that sums of money donated to charity are entrusted to people who haven't the ability or !!!!!! to make sensible (i.e. commercially astute) decisions regarding the disburesement of funds relative to the responsibilities and duties (legally) of the rest of the officers and cttee members concerned :mad:
Was extremely unwell last night and rang the docs again today and managed to get an emergency 5 min appointment this morning (5 mins turned into 15) and have been diagnosed with a bacterial lung infection and now have some antibiotics which cannot be taken with milk, iron , zinc or indigestion remedies:eek: I am under instruction to go back if the infection doesnt clear up. Thankfully, Monday's appointment with the medical student and the video camera has been cancelled:j
On a good note - I get my new glasses on 7 April, I cannot believe that the eye hospital only received them today when they have been at the factory since the end of Feb:mad: (when I say new - I mean old because they are old frames and I am having a new right lens). Oh to be able to see again:D
As for plagues and pestilence - Z needs to stop reading almanacs and start looking out of the window to see what is going on.
Horace - erithromycin (or even worse, tetracyclin) is not brill for bronchial infections - you want clarithromycin ...full stop!! (Oh yeah...that's the expensive one that isn;t prescribed on the NHS unless you specifically ask for it.....wonder why - because it;s the best?????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Give the current ab's a try for one week - if no or little improvement then go back and ask for clarithromycin :T
Agree by the way ref Z's almanacs (actually that could be a great title/subject for a new business....;):D)
Hope the lungs feel better soon :grouphug::grouphug::mad:

Quickie piggie update:
a) Grommie was wheezing like crazy this morning so fixed with a steam bath before I left. He has also lost quite a bit of weight despite continuing eating (and extra force feeding) so it could just be old age is now taking it;s toll. Neverhteless he is still very perky :j:j
b) Beechie has a sore willy ,,,and his guts are still misbehavingbut his coat is in really good silky condition
...but hes still very grumpy
c) Bailey and Iroko (his son) both are shedding fur and scurf alarmingly - could be a spring moult but could be a fungal infection
d) Ginger needs to go to VET for his eyes and his breathing soon
e) Maple and Willow are hanging on in there although Maple breathing is not good
f) Muffin is defying the odds :T- her intensive heart meds regimen is keeping her going and she is quite perky albeit not very active
g) Bandit is still rogering everything in sight:beer:
So still 9 with us here.......and another big vets bill planned for early April
Hopefully they will perk up when their Uncle Numpty comes down to see them this coming week

Wol - I am allergic to penicillin & analogues, tetracyclines and erythromycins so have to have something called ciprofloxacin which is the only one that I can have that I am so far not allergic to. When it comes to antibiotics I am what is known in the medical trade as a "one shot willy" I can have the antibiotic once and when I get given it again I have an allergic reaction:eek: I know that if this antibiotic doesnt work or I develop an allergy to it then I have to go back to see the doctor.
Sending cuddles to the piggies - in Beechie's case if you had a sore wily I think that you would be grumpy too. Hope they all perk up soon.0 -

That's pants about the allergies Horace - I too am allergic to penicillin and analogues and erythormycin (love the one shot willy phrase :rotfl::rotfl:....and think Beechie does too in his own grumpy way))
Clarithromycin is similar drug to erythromycin although reported less side effects. Either of those are first choice for respiratory. Cipro is more usually first choice for urinary and gastrointestinal infections (great for Salmonella - I have a stash I take on hols with me along with metronidazole).
Have you ever tried azithromycin? It's still originally drived from erythromycin but more removed from it structurally than clarithromycin (I have been trying to get this prescribed off license for my piggies for their respiratory problems - apparently it;s !!!! hot!)
Anyway - Hope it clears it up soon

Hmmmm,........KC I am afraid I'm going to wag Z's finger at you a teensy bit :rotfl::rotfl:- oo-er missus
Viewing property !!!!!! should be an enjoyable "vacation" experience rather than a chore/work/stress - especially if you intend to invest your life savings and live in one of said !!!!!! stars. Otherwise there could be bad vibes when you look at them if under stressThats very true. You know what it is? Its not really about the p/!!!!!! - its more the sense of having to have a schedule day after day after day, plus the oik from Fox & Sons was really unpleasant. Today I feel completely different about it, I've marked Wednesday off as a day when I'll slob about, and thats made me feel fine about doing the rest - quite excited about that Thursday one.
Hopefully you won;t find the "househunting" too draining - but if you start t, then I would suggest that we have a conflab on Bank Holiday Monday and work out a more relaxing schedule for you(which might involve a chauffeur on nominated days
) having had a quick look at what Martin's said to look at when property viewing, I might well take you up on that :A
As for the mini-Rave on BHMonday - well it seems to me that we need to identify somewhere that is resistant to snow/flood/famine/pestilence/heat (Z is obviously giving us a lot of options here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).....My first thought is the International Space Station :rotfl:if it was just girlies, my second thought would be Crawley Mall
No worries - a good time should be had by all :T We'll have a conflab on the tellingbone this weekend Hun Tellingbone! I never heard that before! I **love** that.
Take care - remember to put the clocks forward at 1am sunday morning
xxx
Yep, we can speak over the weekend - sorry to hear about such a grotty client experience for you, Wol, I hope you had a nice relaxing evening.
Taxi - you're right, it was just a mood thing.
Wol - just seeing your piggy updates, there's such a lot going on still - I hope everything's okay over this weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi KC
Good to hear you've cracked the schedule thing and therefore property !!!!!! will be enjoyable :T:T (I hate it when I have a heavy schedue - the stress seems to eat away at my good mood/chill out time cos I'm alwasy thinking ahead about the next "thing" on the list...instead of enjoying the here and now moment
)
Will give you a bell later as I have tought up a cunning plan for BHmonday which doesn't involve interstellar travel

I am not going to ask my gp about other antibiotics - I dare not try any more due to the one shot willy nature that I have. Trust me to be the awkward one (insert rolleyes smilie). The sun is out so go into the garden and chill. I shall be nipping downstairs with a bin bag in a while when I can summon up the enthusiasm to sort the kitchen bin out which is overflowing..sigh. I need to tidy up in there as it looks as though a bomb has hit it and I need plates and have space to make a beef paste sandwich (I am addicted to shippams beef paste at the mo).
Best crack on I s'pose and I need to make plans for Easter - need to remove the old compost from my window boxes (hide it in black bags and put in bin:eek:) put in new compost and plant seeds, sort out the wine box and line it with another bin liner and use polystyrene chips in the bottom and fill with compost and plant seeds, empty old pots in small greenhouse and dod the same. I am determined to grow more this year.0
