Operation blitz flat in preparation starts... urmmm as soon as my boss reappears and I can ask for a week off work. :rotfl: Next week would be nice... :p
Well my boss has been located and I now have next week off work! :j I just need to find someone to babysit my cells and I'm good to go... (Got to love the flexibility of my job sometimes! :p)

... this does mean I have to actually DO something to sort my flat out next week! Helllllllpppppppp! :rotfl: Getting rid of the stuff forming an assault course in my hall would be a good start... (Mostly stuff for the charity shop and lots of recycling.) :o

KC - you wouldn't want to be a twin of mine. I'm an expert at avoidance. The people in my flat thing is really not great - I had an ED and severe depression and used to have panic attacks about even the meter reader coming round (and they have to at least every 2 yrs - my meters are withing a metre of my front door). :( 6 of those 8 people was when I hosted our family Christmas in 2008 and no-one has stepped foot in my flat since then. :o

[STRIKE] I'd love to get stuff done this year...[/STRIKE] I WILL get stuff done this year... :D

It can be a self sustaining reaction, no?

Ouch. :kisses3: I'm sorry you're in such pain, Taka. I'm in that direction myself, but just a little bit - I've been avoiding too, which is why I live alone, and have buried myself in this suburb for so long - nice as it is, it doesn't give me the life I want. I've realised, finally-finally, that avoiding taking risks doesn't actually bring to a halt the passage of time, and thats why I'm gearing up to get into action.

    Sounds good to me :D

EDIT - Wol, sorry for the hijack, hope you don't mind :)

Oiiii Cheeky! It is really flexible but it kind of works both ways though... eg today I started ~9.30am and I'll be here till after 7pm! Wed will be a 12-13hr day! (with no overtime). It all sort of evens out but its not really a 9-5, mon-friday job (in my case) thats for sure! I have loads on from mid April (that I only found out about on Friday) so its now or after end of May for time off in the next while...

:kisses3: Right back at you! (and anyone else who needs a kiss! :p) Thanks... things are actually pretty good at the mo (touch wood!) just there are odd things still not "normal" - that is one of them. It felt soooooo good having people round to my flat that Xmas and the major decluttering that happened then made such a huge difference to my quality of life. I really need to live for today not just dream of some mythical day in the future when its all sorted. That day won't ever happen if I don't take (baby) steps towards getting there... :rotfl:

Good luck with your own plans... and with taking your own personal risks. ;):D Change is blooming scary isn't it!

Sorry for the hijack Wol! :o

I'm glad things are (comparatively) good at the mo for you, Taka - I hope that goodness continues to build up. Isn't it weird the way decluttering frees up energy? You hear them say that on tv programmes, and think its just spiel, but its really true. Its led me on to huge personal risks, as you say, but I do feel now that its stagnate or move forward ..... (uh oh, I just found another emotional block in what I wrote and crossed out, oops). Well, its ongoing work, thats the point of it really.

Have a good one all - and, Wol, you must be working so hard with coming up to year end, take care of yourself.

Errr 'cuse me.......but Wot Hijack? (insert first of a legend of confused smileys tonight ;))

    Errrmm......I see no terrorists :rotfl::rotfl:

This diary is a place where everyone can get things off their chesticles (whoaaa Numpty :D) and chill out/commune with like minded individuals for support and friendship :T:D .............(Same as "Wols Place" :D:D)
After all - we'll [STRIKE]all[/STRIKE] many of us be getting p**sed with each other in July and sleeping in the same place (ish ) and sharing the same bathroom facilities :rotfl::rotfl:

So please carry on folks......(I feel like Mr Grace :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

    QUICKIE UPDATE
I have invoiced the first "half" of the "end of month" bonanza :T:T....and am still up to my eyeballs in work.:(

Unfortunately this evening I am partaking of the contents of the "Rave wine stash" :( because, (and believe me I have no idea why :o) I feel really truly utterly on Planet Zod today .(...OI YOU LOT .....yep that;s ZOd...just in case anyone got nasturstians :rotfl::rotfl:)

Actually scratch that - I THINK I DO know why (insert confused smiley...Z where are you :rotfl::rotfl:)

I have always relied in the past on other people to "validate me for my worth. Particularly in my reationships. I am still learning to be comfortable with myself "as I am" and not have to rely on anyone anymore to "validate my existence"

I've done some bluidy good work these last couple of weeks to help people to run their businesses (or in two instances close their retail outlets without losing their family/house/assets etc etc:(). It's tough being the bearer of bad tidings and i suppose I too need a few positive strokes...but I need to be able to accept them from myself (and know they mean something) rather than relying on other people to provide that . if that makes sense..... insert confused smiley)

Some of the guineas are not very well at all and I am worried...:(..and I am also piling pressure on myself regarding Easter and family disappointment because I won;t be co-operating with their arrangements and expectations

Oh **d it...I'm just having a wibble.....I'll get through it...I need to stop over analysing :rotfl::rotfl:

Onwards and upwards (well my ironing pile is certainly adhering to that principle :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Wol, I know that we're supposed to have the internal strength to be validated only by ourselves - but I'm not sure how that myth ever got going. I do think its a myth - human beings are social creatures, we live in groups - even antisocials like me belong to some groups, whether its online here or Egyptology or a counselling organisation or what have you. Of course you need validation from somewhere outside yourself - well, not in terms of survival, but in terms of quality of life, yes, you do, and the rest of us do too. And that goes especially when there's been something tough going on - just to be able to say it to someone and kick back, and have them support you unconditionally.

We *do* need to give some of it to ourselves too, of course - and if you have a hard time accepting that, okay, maybe thats an issue to address. But the guineas and family and Easter are pressing on you too ......

So, listen to this: you're great! I really admire your determination, your focus, your kindness, your energy, your ability to connect to people and give to people. Amongst other things.

I hope the guineas are okay - oh, that leads me to another positive for you: I value the way you value life - life is precious and the valuing of it is precious. And so are you!
