Sorry to hear about all the turmoil going on in your life at the moment.
So sorry about the loss of your friend especially as it was so sudden in the end and that along with the thoughts for your friend were all muddled together with the feelings for your ex.What a set of emotions...hugs.
Along with the family member having cancer and your own illness ...I think increasing the councilling is a good idea to give you a more peaceful mind...
Hugs from me xx
Thanx Hun
Helps to hear your thoughts...and yes - will increase the counselling temporarily...
Ahem ...but at least I got the bluidy tax return in :rotfl:
Cheers Hun - your post very much appreciated

No, sober as a judge I is! Just that Lark Rise is a bit of escapist nonsense to lose oneself in on a Sunday night, before Monday morning rolls round again. Mind you, Monday-itis doesn't affect me as I never work the same hours 2 weeks running. Downside is, I sometimes don't know what day it is or what planet I'm on.One life - your life - live it!0

Wol, i think the family member will appreciate your positive attitude alot more than the good wishes and intentions of the doomsayers. Once they start trying to deal with it and move forward, having the othes dragging them down may not be so bad with you pushing them along and giving support. I'm not sure it the family's reaction is a selfish one or just that they don't know how to respond to the situation - so they go with the old "isn't it terrible" doom and gloom speeches. Positivity can work wonders and i'm proud you're one of the 'different' ones.
Sorry to hear about your friend. It sounds like it was really quick, but at hopefully that also means she didn't suffer much. They know you were thinking about her - there's nothing more you could have done if you went up there.
Hopefully you'll be able to get some peace of mind from the counselling session.
And what's the big plan for February? (Not that we're clock watching or anything...)

Hello hello everyone :j:j
Thank you all so much for the support...:A:A....its been pretty gutty here the last week as i think you;ve gathered
Today has been a much better day (once I woke up at gone 11am :o)
I think it's almost official here on DFW diaries that the New Year now starts tomorrow - perhaps we can have a specially headed daily chat tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I haven't got everything finished by end of Jan that I had hoped - because some things took longer than the time I'd allocated..and extra work became necessary last week (such as last minute rescue plans and long telephone conversations to stop people's businesses going bust )....but I have spent 8 hours solid working today at the computer and getting absolutely frozen to the bone
Still at least the job application and tax stuff are both in to the deadlines :j
So today I have finished one customer report :T..with another write up to finish tomorrow and then can prepare and send the invoices and audit trails for January. I have some private client work booked for friday before which I have to redraft a confidentiality agremeement and send it back for their perusal tomorrow lunchtime.
So tomorrow will be a very busy day - but at least this weekend i have got my kitchen and the washing/ironing back under control for the next week.
Tuesday will now be the day to tackle the Ombudsman, reply to all your diary posts (thank you peepies) and organise another round of vet visits/follow up treatments for the piggies (will also involve a long distance 6 hour return trip to get Grommie's teeth done without general anaesthetic - most vets insist on it - and as he probably wouldn;t survive another GA given his age it;s worth the trip ).
The plan/outputs for February:
a) Prepare budget/SOA/Spending diary and start looking at cutting outgoings controlling expenditure
b) Start Systematic Decluttering and sorting of all cupboards/drawers etc
c) Income generation : For the last year, I have had loads of stuff in boxes ready to go on ebay or to auction (and a loft full of packing material). I will sumon up the courage to put my first item for sale on ebay this week- hopefully after that it will get easier
d) Amend sigggie - the bridge fund is no longer required because the bridge was replaced last summer. I shall instead concentrate on throwing everything at the 40k mortgage drawdown (and the 0% BT which ends in October)
e) Get hair done in time for job interview (if I get selected)
f) Fix up counselling for twice a week for the month
g) Organise GP referrals for HRT, hand neuroma, boob check and get a couple of other things that have been bothering me for ages sorted
h) Business Development to secure client work from March onwards (programmes all come to an end 31st March and there is a big change happening down here so it will mean new programmes run by different organisations/people so I need to go press the flesh)
Each week I'll put a list of objectives/acions together so I can work at a realistic pace but hopefully achieve all the aims above by the end of the month. There's a lot of personal stuff for this month - I will of course have client work to fit in inbetween. And another thing I MUST do is start going to bed at a reasonable time.
There's one more thing on the list....but it will go in a separate post tomorrow
Off to do the drug round and then to bed.
Nitey nite all - hope you;re all warm and toasty tonight - and Beanie - really really hope you don;t get any more of that bloomin snow that's forecast
