Glad to see you got them done..always a relief.
:j:j - and my accountant has already processed the accounts and sent me the declaration certificate which arrived in the post today....will sign and put it through their door tomorrow.Nargleblast wrote: »Good afternoon Wol, glad to hear your paperwork is all up to date. Let's hope the nice taxman finds some errors resulting in a big fat tax refund cheque! If only..........although unfortunately he has taken out all the start-up capital equipment expenses (ie furniture/PC/printer etc that all had to be bought because of the flood) so my "profit" is more than I had envisaged. He says they're going to offset the capital costs in another section of the tax return (insert confused smiley here
).....but I guess it still means more tax to pay than hoped

Well today is the (re) start of MY New Year
And now it is time to start to live again after the last two and a half years of just "treading water" (literally :rotfl::rotfl:)
The accounts clearly show that I am not making enough money being self-employed to cover all my outgoings so the time to re-start the DFW work with a vengeance has arrived _pale_...and I need to set some goals to give myself hope and things to aim for in the future.:D
Firstly therefore I have found a prestigious and exciting job to apply for by middle of next week (Horace if you read this - please PM me your phone number /ring me as I would appreciate having a conflab about it.......you have specialist knowledge and you will giggle when I tell you what it is)
Secondly I also need to see the GP next week and get a referral- It is very very clear that the depression I am experiencing is "hormonally induced perimenopausal depression" as a result of a lack of oestrogen. Ever the scientist () I came off the patches a week ago after I had the bad news concerning the family (sudden increased risk) - however one week later and I have sunk so very fast.....- so I put a patch on this morning and now everything in the garden is rosy again. QED - I have my drive/energy and mojo back. So clearly no need for anti-D's :T- and I have found a consultant in London who advocates that a lot of women's depression is indeed able to be dealt with by hormone replacement therapy instead. :T. Just need to get the right mix of hormones presented in the right way (eg patch/tablet/implant etc) instead of just the oestrogen which I am on atm. I feel very relieved to find all this out as i was becoming quite worried I would have to have the same all-out battle with the GP practice as i did three years ago when I got nowhere.
So other things for the rest of the month include getting all business admin bits and bobs sorted and then
a) Store cupboard challenge and meal plans til end of Feb (already logged all items in fridge and freezer and planning cookfest some time next week)
b) New SOA, start looking at reducing all outgoings and start a spending diary (again) that hopefully will last more than three months this year
c) find more clients between now and end of March
d) (if poss) sort out Ombudsman
Tonight I have a clean and tidy house, clean and tidy piggies (well relatively speaking :rotfl:) .... a shedload of paperwork -[STRIKE]carefully hidden away in boxes/bags[/STRIKE]to sort/file (at some point over the next month
).........and loads more aims (yes, yes, OK, OK - it includes the abolition of the booze and the fags
) but I'm not going to list them on here until I am ready to start tackling them with positive and sustained focus
..and have made good progress/completion on the ones i have already listed above . There's so much I need to do to catch up after the last two and half years that to even sit down and wrtie a list now would probably scare the pants off me
Multi-tasking is all very well (and I have always been great at it) - however it's important I enter this New Year by "finishing and closing things off" earlier than I have previously done. Doing this, will hopefully reduce the past rather chaotic lifestyle I had that ultimately demotivates me ...and should also free up some proper "me chill out" time.
Having said that, it's clear from the "goings on" of the last [STRIKE]few[/STRIKE] 30 months that sorting out the HRT assistance will also help with all the above tremendously.
So here we go - fingers and paws crossed - it's taken (far far) longer than anticipated - but better late than never.:D.....This really IS the start of The Restoration :T

Hello Auntie Wol (I will PM you my number) thanks for the chat (kick up the bum) yesterday and I am in the process of sorting out some old towels for Ginger & Co (week week week). Go for that new venture - you will be fab and I am trying to think of more things.
You will be dead pleased with me - I walked (very MSE) to the travel agent this morning and booked 1 week half board in a relatively posh hotel in Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria - this has cost me slightly more than I actually wanted to pay but when I worked out the cost of getting there independently and self catering - yet more expense then I decided that staying in a hotel and going with a tour operator was a better deal:j What is even nicer is that I can put it down as a business expense - I used my trusty Amex card which gives me cashback so that is even more MSE although I did have to take a charge of £16:eek: to pay on that card - but any purchase that gets charged to the card gives me moneyback so that's not so bad.
I wish places would make life easier e.g. accept cheques from banks as opposed to building societies - I could see them eyeing up my debit card but I get more protection paying by Amex. I also resisted their not so tempting offer to buy travel insurance from them - would cost £30 for one week and I can get annual insurance for around the same price so no contest.:D
Walked home again via Aldi - where I succumbed to some tomatoes, donuts (I really should give up) and a bag of Haribo golden bears...also lugged home an argos catalogue which I dont particularly want but it was in a free bag.
Opened post box and found a ton of letters - and another book of LVs from pynekone:j
You will be pleased to hear that I had a nightmare free night last night - I went to bed at 2am and got up at 9.30am and not a nightmare in sight:j0
