You're an inspiration and a real battler. I sometimes can't believe how you keep coming back from the various setbacks you have.

So keep posting and we'll all keep each other going. :D

...as i think we all do.

But as you say - we'll all get through it with each other's support. Personally I really want to get back to posting on everyone;s diaries as i really am getting quite concerned (and guilty :o) about my absence....

Hope all is well with you?

I'm glad its all gone well, Wol - from the family member's op to the session today and your psychotherapist's reaction ... you *do* have good reasons for feeling bad, of course you do - good lord, just think of the past few months on their own, let alone more long term stuff.

Hope you sleep well after comparatively positive news today.

    Hi KC

Thanx for the good wishes :kisses3:

One day soon I will wake up (as i do every year) on that "special spring day" in either March or early April and say ...at last that's it for another carp winter - time to come out of hibernation and start joining the real world again :D

Hopefully you are feeling better and starting to approach your own "spring day" ? :grouphug::grouphug:

And oh boy lady - wot larks we will have then!!! :money::money:For a start, we will have a shed load of shrubs to replace in my garden as the snow wiped a lot of them out...so a few garden centre trips might be in order .....as long as they have a sale on :rotfl:;)

Hugs Hun - will see you soon

Good luck to family member for op...there is no harm in optimism..some people recover when all hope is lost...fingers and everything crossed and prayers xxx

Thanx Taxi - and you;re quite right - Peronally I'm confident this family member has the grit, detemination and tenacity to do what they say they will do which is to "see the course" and kick "the beast" into touch .and that the prognosis depsite what others may say is GOOD....and they have my wholehearted 100% support in their aims and I truly believe they will recover fully.......I do not wish to even entertain any other outcome than that until or unless the person concerned says to me any different. Without hope...we are nothing.

Sigh - just wish the rest of the family would climb on board and stop trying to be so pragmatic - cos there are specific occasions this so-called "pragmatism" (if that's what it really is) ISN'T helpful..and I believe this situation is one of those.
I can;t help but feel that (yet again) they are adopting this approach more to protect themselves against disappointment, heartache, fear of their own failure and possible loss .....rather than out of concern to provide the proper emotional support for the person concerned :o..

That's what makes DFW and you peeps so special - unconditional support!!

    Really appreciate your post

Ta Buffy - hope all is going well in Buffy land.

How are the girlies? (Hate to drone on but Bandit is really nagging me for a piccie of your two stars!!!)

I have registered to do a rodentology course --(not a vet course but run by the UK specialist in guinea pigs so an academic course) --I have just received the coursework (can cope with that - know a lot of it already ;)) and then need to do a 3 day residential course (with two of my own piggies) prior to an exam.......then I get to do the "big course" which could hopefully mean getting employment at a vets to do (under their supervision) guinea pig health and diagnosis - including dentals/X rays etc without anaesthetic........ :T:T.

And today I was quite chuffed when the vet receptionist asked for my advice about her guinea pigs...in front of the vets  :)

Wow Wol.....go girl !! well done on the course....something that will enhance your knowledge & allow you to share your passion & knowledge of the piggies with others....plus I bet you will find it soooo interesting!

Not been around much but I pop in & have a read when I can....my luck seems to be in a permanent downward spiral just now ....hence the ridiculously extreme insomnia I have at the moment.

Good luck with the course Sweetie....hugs to you & the piggies.

Going to get up & get a coffee.....one of those nights where you close your eyes & nothing happens except panic.

LOL should be used to it by now but been a tough week & I`m so tired of bad news.

    Sleep well Hun.
